Went with a friend for her birthday and had a super meal at Black Bean Parkview. Food wise, waiter wise 5/5. BUT! The day after I paid with my credit card, I had almost R3000 ****med off my credit card. My last transaction was at Black Bean. When I paid, I wanted to insert and somehow the payment went through without me inserting - unusual. Then lady with the machine held the machine above her head, also unusual to me. I contacted the owner regarding the matter and was treated rudely and without any co-operation at all. Conveniently, it was told to me that the camera footage of the time I was there was wiped off due to a power outage! I have no proof of anything without the camera footage of course but, it happened to someone I know somewhere else, the card was copied when held above by a laptop nearby so could be possible. I have reported it to my bank's ***** dept who will investigate. The owner of Black Bean would do nothing to help in this matter. I am deeply disappointed and will never put my foot in there again! I do not have proof but, I suggest patrons be very cautious when using a card to make a payment just in case. The upsetting thing was the lack of co-operation to the point of rudeness of the owner when I reported my suspicions about what occurred.
