I signed a new contract on 21st September 2022 with Vodacom 4U in Clearwater on a refurbished phone. The battery needed charging twice daily. I took my phone my phone back to the store on Sunday the 25th. They refused to cancel my contract and took the phone in for repairs. I was told if they cannot repair the phone or if it is still faulty after 7 days after receiving the phone back I can cancel my contact. I spoke to the consumer council on Monday and was told I have the right to cancel my contract within the 7 days of purchase. On Tuesday the 27th September I went back to the store and asked that they cancel the contract. They refused and said their terms and conditions are above that of the consumer council. I was promised that the manageress would contact me. Well I am still waiting. Disgusting service and ripping off of clients.
