We stayed at the hotel in Cape Town with a group of friends, occupying 3 rooms for the 6 of us. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, they overcharged my credit card for one room, and only refunded the excess amount almost 2 months later after numerous reminders.
The rooms themselves were appalling: sewage leaking from the bathroom pipes, despite multiple complaints; inadequate towels; no light in the bathroom; no air conditioning remote; stained bedding; and a sink that wouldn't drain. Despite daily reports of these issues, no action was taken.
The so-called 'manager' was impossible to reach until our last day, during which they failed to correct the overcharge issue. We were promised compensation of 8000 rand for the myriad of problems, but four months and countless emails later, it remains an empty promise.
I sincerely hope no one entrusts this hotel to be part of their journey. I have never encountered such poor accommodation and terrible customer service anywhere else.
