Terrible Service – I’m Done with This Dealership This BMW dealership is a complete disappointment. I was told my car would be covered under the motor plan — only to be hit with a R3,100 bill hours later. Why wasn’t this clarified upfront? On top of that, I dropped off my car at 7am, and only got told around 1pm that I’d have to fetch it the next day because they still needed to “test and wash” it. The next day, I checked my car tracker and saw it had been parked for over an hour. No call. No update. I had to call them myself — and only then did Getruida Westhuizen inform me that the car was ready. So if I didn’t follow up, my car would’ve just sat there. Unbelievable. This isn’t even the first time their service has been ridiculous. On 26 June, I came in to change both car key batteries (which were dead). Franscois van Reinsburg told me he’d only do one and I’d have to come back the following week for the second. Why? No explanation. It takes less than five minutes to change a key battery. The same Getruida then tells me I need to make another appointment for my key. This dealership clearly doesn’t respect people’s time, money, or trust. The service is slow, disorganized, and just plain poor. I will never take my car back there again. I wish I had read the reviews before going — they were spot on.

I am extremely disappointed by the BMW Jounurg South dealership with their service. I booked my car in their dealer to replace the battery on my BMW 320i last month on the 26 May 2025. The lady who was my service advisor gave me a wrong report, stating that the battery is still fine and they charge it, assuring it will never give me problems again. Despite my numerous complaints about the battery being flat and my maintenance plan expiring on the 28th of May, she insisted the battery was still fine. Now, the battery is causing issues again, and my motor plan has expired. I am very disappointed with BMW. As a loyal customer, the way I was treated has made me reconsider purchasing another BMW model.

Booked my car in for a brake fluid service and check a error regarding coolant level low which was intermittent,nobody is friendly at this dealership the manager Sergio is the worst,doesn't even greet customers,anyway we receive a call and a quote of 75k we scrutinise the quote now this is the same dealership that changed a water pump for the same car a year ago,so the service advisor Gerti and the person who booked the car in was informed that the water pump was replaced a year ago,Gerti quotes is for another water pump when asked why the water pump needs to be changed she does not know what to say so she provides me with dishonest information,stating that there is two pumps for the same component and th second water pump needs to be changed,I called a friend at another BMW dealership and he informed me that Gerti was talking bull to me as the other pump is an auxi****y pump and has to do with the turbo,I called Gerti back ,I was even told by my friend that they can do a warranty claim on the pump within 2 years,so I asked Gerti why she was quoting on the pump she then changed her tune and stated ok they could do a warranty claim,this is dishonest.When the vehicle was finally ready I collected on Saturday and requested a valuation as I wanted to trade the vehicle in,Jan their used car manager was evaluating the vehicle he opened the bonnet and I noticed scratch marks that were not there when the vehicle was booked in,I reported it to Francois immediately,I was promised a call on Monday,I called Monday and was told that I need to bring the car in again so Sergio could inspect I refused and stated they must çome to us we are not going to be inconvenienced,Sergio was rude to me,he then brought one of his guys and came to my house they removed all scratches and there was a deep scratch on the fuse box so he says that they didn't touch that so they can't do anything there,but I am sure these guys wiped these covers down and scratched it,pathetic service and forgot to mention that Gerti was rude and even cut me off and never allow me to speak,I have requested the cell number for the dealer principal as he is never at the dealership,Cornette the customer relations manager stated she listened to all the calls between Gerti and myself and confirmed she was rude but no action was taken against her,no wonder there is so many complaints about this dealership,BMW SA so something soon before you loose your customers because of this pathetic dealership and staff especially Gerti and Sergio... I have requested the dealer principals cell number which I am told they cannot give out,does they realise that he is not the president of the country he needs customers to make money and yet he refuses to speak to customers.Please have a look at your reviews on Google for BMW Jhb South and you will see lots of customers are also complaining about the service received from this particular dealership.

I have never been so disrespected and undermined like the way this branch service manager did. I took my tuned 330d for oil change but rather than just servicing my car they went over and above to perform some scans/diagnosis which in turn messed with my transmission. My car came back jerking and not performing nor changing gears properly, went back to find out why and the manager told me straight that he will not take any responsibility for that not to even check what's wrong depicting that they can't check modified vehicles yet they diagnose and service them. Take your car there at your own risk.

I have never been so disrespected and undermined like the way this branch service manager did. I took my tuned 330d for oil change but rather than just servicing my car they went over and above to perform some scans/diagnosis which in turn messed with my transmission. Over the past few days I have received appalling service from their parts dept w.r.t replacement of a faulty car battery as well as calling the service advisors more than 6 times to get a quote with my call just let you ring until thr call is ended.

My name is Sipho Stanley Malele. I write this review as a highly disappointed customer due to the service I got for my BMW which I booked in for repairs in October/November 2023. Firstly, before I indulge you on the details of my complaint, let me compliment the service advisor Jade Derbyshire for her excellent service and express that I was completely satisfied with her contribution. Now, I was told that my vehicle was due for a battery change which I agreed to, on condition that I would be given back my old battery. This did not materialize as per our agreement with the service provider, when I collected my vehicle I did not receive my battery. Secondly, I was called in during the diagnostic phase and was informed that the key was not working, I was however taken aback by this because I left it working. Nevertheless, I let the key matter slide and sorted it out myself. Lastly, I collected my car on the 22nd of December after the service was done, but I have to express that I am utterly disappointed with the service. I can state with no doubt that the replacing and reassembling of parts was not done thoroughly. Here are the reasons why: 1. There are missing *****s. 2. The water pipes were not reassembled thoroughly. 3. Some parts are broken. 4. There is an abnormal sound on the vehicle. 5. I was left to collect and drive the car from the workshop with a bornett that was not shut, fortunately for me I was driving at low speed hence I managed to get home safely despite the risk that was posed on me. This is painful. I personally and intentionally take my vehicle to BMW by virtue of the trust I have in them to give me thorough service. In summary, I am a dissatisfied customer who did not get value for his money from the above mentioned service provider being BMW Joburg South (Auto Glen). Please assist in this regard. I just baught a car a month ago from this dealership, 2-3 weeks later the betry of the car died and I had to keep on calling Bmw assist to come and jump start me till I ended up replacing it with a new betry which they did refund me. Just a day after replacing the betry the break pads light goes on and then I booked the car for service at BMW LMG when I get there they told me I have to pay for it cos it’s not covered, they also saw that there were two decrees which wer loose *****s on the intake and I have to call the dealer where I baught the car to solve the issue for me as well as the break pads since the car is still new. Mind u both invoice for the *****s and break pads were amounting to a total of R11 596.97 which I then called the joburg south dealership and explained the problem to them. Just when I called I was told they cannot fix that issue even the betry issue they did a favor for me so I have to fix everything myself cos the car is second hand. I am now sitting here with this invoices asking myself how do this people expect me to pay so much amount of money on a car that is just a month old. All my life since I’ve been buying cars such problems would be fixed by the dealership but this one’s just shut me down and told me to fix everything myself cos it’s not their problem it’s my own problem cos I know the car is second hand I should expect such problems
