Bonamanzi resort bronkhorstspruit dam ,horrible resort ,one pays for the owners helicopter ,bad roads no street lights , obstacles and holes and rocks everywhere
Normal guests paying for the owners expensive 20 million rand helicopter. About three weeks ago we had a picnic and boat trip. My sister in law changed the babies clothes to a swimsuit. We were standing next to her nobody could see anything none the less a security of the resort came up to your picnic site stating it is indecent exposure, why are we changing the nappy , which she wasn't, she just clothed the baby with a swimsuit. This was very inappropriate, there is also no facilities to change a baby nappy if that is what she was doing. Secondly we were staying at the resort this past weekend. We had a surprise that we owe even more money for staying overnight.we had to pay the host and then the resort for staying the night. On top of all this we had to pay for the canoe same price as a motor boat and we put our canoe in water by ourselves obviously not requiring a tractor as a canoe doesn't have a trailer. It is really an uncomfortable and unwelcoming resort ,one is policed and told you have to pay more around every turn and bend. There are no good roads or street lights , there are obstacles and holes , ditches and unkept roads everywhere, but glad to report the helicopter is kept in prestine condition, after all that is what we all paying for. After having been kept at the security gate and after being told we wont leave unless we pay the randsom of more money which there is no sign for ,there is only camping fee and day visitors and boats. The host finally called back and say this fee even Applies to themselves, guests and housekeepers and gardeners. Lol so seems even you paid for your house and the levy each month you have to pay to enter and to sleep also. What a way to make sure one's 20 million rand helicopter is paid for, pay for your stay but dont change baby clothes on your picnic and dont think sleeping is a free activity here, the owner needs to pay his helicopter. Would like to give -1 ,especially after giving them another chance

Warm welcome. Great restaurant and service staff. Went the extra mile to meet our Halaal requirements. Lee was a patient history as our Game ranger. Would definitely reccomend the accommodation and peace.

With increasingly poor services in government-run parks, I figured it would be a good move to stay in private reserves instead. I started with Bonamanzi Game Reserve, and what a big mistake it was. Firstly, there are obvious errors in the information provided on the website. This prompted me to send them an email, to not only point out the errors, but to ask for accurate information too. The person who answered my first email made no effort to answer all my questions, and didn't even correctly answer the one she did. No fixes were made to the website. All subsequent emails never received a single response.
