Myself and my sister are deeply disappointed with the service of this hospital! Our late father was admitted to the hospital on the 13th July and died just three days afterwards on the 16th July. The doctor who was supposed to contact us to give us an update on my dad's situation/health never did so, even after we called the hospital to find out more. The doctor only contacted us to inform us that our dad had passed away. Also, the hospital was supposed to organize a video call so we could see our dad as we were not allowed in the hospital. That also never happened! Thus, in the days that my dad was in hospital were never learnt about his condition - whether it was deteriorating or improving. We have no idea what the last few days on our dad's life was like as he lay there. How tough it has been to make peace with the situation and of course dealing with my dad's death. I cannot understand how a hospital can resort to this kind of thing - telling the family that the doctor will contact them and organizing a time for a video call and then not following it through!! How stressful for the family. At least my dad could have seen us children. To make matters worse he was very confused and disorientated while there so who knows what was going through his mind. Maybe he wondered why my sister and myself were not coming to visit him. Maybe he even thought that we didn't care when in fact we longed for him to come back home. Of course he never did come home again sadly.
