<p>The firm Brano Industries installed a double garage door with an electric garage door operator for me during July 2015. The motor (an Aladdin Red model) gave problems from the start and I contact them per email with requests to attend to the erratic behavior of the electric motor. (16 and 23 July 2015) I received no reaction to these requests but the motor started working after I moved the power cable a little obviously poor quality workman ship.</p> <p>Towards the end of November 2016 the motor stopped operating the door and I phoned Brano and spoke to Annelie Vorster to request the repair of my garage door. Their workers came out on 5 December 2016 to attend to the problem. They put the door back on it’s tracks but did not attend to the broken motor – they said they will refer the matter back to Annelie.</p> <p>On 7 December 2016 I received a quote from Annelie for R4357.05 to replace the complete motor.</p> <p>The next day I phoned Annelie to ask why the complete motor installation needs to be replaced and if the motor could not just be repaired. She said the age motor takes it beyond it’s guarantee period (it expired July 2016) and that I would be responsible for the cost of the repair.</p> <p>Since then the firm seems to have lost interest in my problem and promises by Annelie to arrange a further visit so attend to the broken motor have come to nothing.</p> <p>I feel the period of seven weeks (also taking the holiday period into account) this matter has already taken is unacceptable, and no progress has yet been made to solve the real problem.</p> <p>I will not be able to recommend this firm to any of my friends</p>
