Good day I would like to alert you to the experience that I have had with Brett-Lee Preowned and Hybrid Auto. Brett-Lee: I dropped the car (BWM 320i) at Brett-Lee for sale on the 16 March 2018. After a month, I kept following up whether the car was sold or not. I was told it was sold but took multiple attempts to get someone that could sign the documentation with me. Roughly a month later I was able to sign the sale document, this date was 8 June 2018. Per this sale agreement, I was to be paid 7-21 working days after signing the paperwork. So 21 working days, I contacted Brett-Lee to find out where why I had not been paid. For the next week, there were multiple stories and excuses, until I was asked to come in and speak to them. I made my way in to speak to Brett-Lee and they mentioned that they were in a partnership which had gone sour and need some time to repay me. At this point in time, I approached the attorney and pursued legal action. We have gone through the motions, sent letters, summons and are continuing in this process. Not once did Brett-Lee agree to a repayment plan and neither do they seem interested in paying up my money. Other Instance: On the 13 September 2018, a gentlemen contacted me and asked if I has been paid for my car. Which I responded no. This gentlemen was incorrectly sent some of mine and other peoples documentation for which their cars had also not been paid. Very unprofessional! Hybrid Auto: On the 19 November 2018, I received an acknowledgment of debt (which I did not sign for various reasons), which states Hybrid Auto and Brett-Lee were in partnership from April 2018 to June 2018. They also acknowledge the debt of my car but stated that they have not received the papers from Brett-Lee. Further to this they included a BMW 320i (my car) and a BMW X5. The X5 is not my car but clearly they owe this person his money too. Conclusion: I have note been paid! My sale agreement is with Brett-Lee which seems to have an issue Hybrid Auto. I continue to pursue legal advice and proceedings and will keep this thread update. DO NOT BUY NOR SELL WITH BRETT-LEE PREOWNED NOR HYBRID AUTO.

Misreprestation of Services On the 16th April 2018 I advertised my vehicle on gumtree from sale. I was contacted by a representative from Brett Lee Auto who advised that they offer a facility to assist me in selling my vehicle, where the place the vehicle on their dealer stand getting it exposure as well as advertise it on all of the major platforms. On the 26th April 2018 I took my vehicle to Brett Lee Auto in Randburg and signed their Park and Sell agreement. They confirmed that while the vehicle is parked on their lot it will be insured under there scheme. All seemed great. I handed my vehicle over and they advised that they would keep me updated with the progress. I didn’t hear from them again, any effort I made to get in touch with Brett Lee Auto representative was in vaine. On the 22nd May I advised Brett Lee Auto representatives, Dillen and Brett, that I have had no feedback from them and that I want my vehicle back. I advised that id collect it on the 29th May after 4pm. Upon arrival at Brett Lee Auto, my vehicle was not on the dealers stand. When I went in to find out about my vehicle I was advised by Brett dad that the Vehicle is at their other branch. It needs to be stated that Brett Lee Auto do not have another branch and that they had allowed my vehicle off there lot without my knowledge or consent (I only realised later that they don’t have another branch). Neither of the representatives I was in communication with were present. After fighting for sometime I was advised that actually there was an offer on my vehicle and that they had paid a deposit of R5000. In terms of my agreement I signed if there is an offer pending then they cannot release the vehicle. Naturally I was angry as this was the first time I was made aware of any offer made on my vehicle. On the 31st May I again tried getting hold of Brett Lee Auto sales representative to get an update on the financing of my vehicle. All efforts to get feedback fell on deaf ears, I did not receive any feedback from then up to the 16th June. 16th of June I advised that id be at Brett Lee Auto with the police to collect my vehicle. At 12:20 on the 16th June I received an offer to Purchase from Hi-Brid Auto in Ridgeway. It advised that they would be buying my vehicle and that payment would be processed within 7 – 21 workings days. 21 Working days falls on the 16th July 2018. I tried getting hold of Brett Lee Auto sales representative on the 11th July to ensure they had all the banking particulars, They confirmed that it had already been sent through to accounts for payment on the 16th July 2018. On the 16th July I got hold of Brett Lee Auto sales representative to confirm when I can expect payment. He advised that he was on his way to the office and I should try back in 2 hours. That was the last time I heard from this sales representative from Brett Lee Auto. I tried calling all numbers available online for Brett Lee Auto to find out where my vehicle is. Brett eventually answered one of the many numbers I tried. He advised that I should come in to see him on the 17th July and he would take me to fetch my car. He further advised that Dillen, Brett Lee Auto sales representative, had a number of other clients with the same problem. I asked Brett to message me the address where my vehicle was. I sent me an address. On the 17th July at around 9am I was on route to the address I had been given to find my car. Brett called me to find out what time I was going through and I advised I was on route already. When I got to Hi-Brid Auto I saw my vehicle. I asked a friend to take my spare key and check if it had any fuel. I went into the dealership and asked for the key for my vehicle. No representative from Brett Lee Auto was present. I spoke to Nisen of Hi-Brid Auto and advised the situation. I further advised that I will be leaving my vehicle with them. They asked me to sign a release to which I responded my vehicle should never have been on another dealers lot as I had never given permission for this therefore I am not able to sign anything with them and they would need to contact Brett Lee Auto in this regard. Upon inspection of my vehicle I find damage that wasn’t there before. Also my car has done roughly 4000km since I handed the vehicle over. I reported the damage and the KM to Brett Lee Auto and asked how they will correct the damages and how do they justify the 4000km travelled in the 84 days they had my vehicle. They advised that my agreement allowed for them to take the vehicle to clients etc and that was their justification. I signed a Park and Sell agreement which says nothing about taking my car anywhere. I also advised that I never gave permission for my car to be moved to another dealer. Id like them to repair the damages and compensate me for the KM travelled, but with a dodgy business like this I do not think that they are in a financial position to do so. This is terrible company. Unethical. Zero remorse.
