I made a reservation for accommodation in Port Elizabeth for Brooke Hill Suites, they had a room available for myself and family at R4000 for 5 nights and R200 extra for 2 beds. I was happy that we found something, I waited for the reservation confirmation so that I could pay. In 24 hours nothing was received, I called again and again nothing was received although it was confirmed that I have a booking. On the third call, i said I would like to confirm my booking I was given a reservation number, told the price and told that I could pay on site when I arrived.
I did not want to get SC_ ____ED, so I put everything in an email and the sales person confirmed that everything is in order. Only to arrive last night and told that I have to pay an extra R1000, no beds in the room, toilet leaking and the room smells mouldy.
We have no other place to stay, so we paid for one night and no the onus is on us to find alternate accommodation at no fault of our own.
Why do people make ones holiday so unpleasant?
