Worst experience ever!!! We were at Brookshill suites Unit 156.We couldn't check out at 10 exact and the host was so angry at us,calling every second telling us we must be out they want to clean.That was so unprofessional and we felt disrespected. We checked out at 10:30 and they charged us R1000 for that extra 30minutes.

Recently we spent a week at Brooke Hill Suites in Port Elizabeth. Our family has had time share for the last 20 years and the recent experience we had at the reception of Brooke Hill Suites has been the best welcome we have ever had. Although we could only book in at 14.00hrs we took an early flight from Johannesburg and arrived at PE at 08.30hrs. The plan was to leave our luggage at reception until 14.00hrs and then book in. Ilke and another lady at reception welcomed us and said there may be a unit that is ready and personally took us to the unit and said we could book in immediately. The exceptional thing about the experience was their friendliness and willingness to help. They updated us on the activities along the coast and the different restaurants and all the specials that they have on. The pathway along the coast has also been upgraded since we were there the last time. You can go for long walks and the city is certainly a lot cleaner than all the towns in Gauteng. Ilke got us to join the Brooke Hills Suites WhatsApp group and she posts all the activities in PE every day on the group. They also informed us on the transportation available with Uber and other taxi services. It cost us R150.00 to Brookes Hill Suites from the airport. When we returned on the same trip, we paid R30.00, will never use a taxi on the airport again. It turned out be a very pleasant experience with the help of Ilke and her team.

We booked this place in October 22/23. When we arrived at the place, we found that the place was not what was advertised. There was no WiFi, no DSTV ,as it was advertised; and we found that the bedrooms were all upstairs and bathrooms/toilets downstairs. We tried to contact the owner, to no avail. Eventually he contacted us back after about 3 hrs of us being frustrated and disappointed. He was very abrupt and shouting on the phone - telling us 'to leave his place if were not happy, hell be happy to refund us our money'. that was in October and now in November 28, I'm still waiting for the said refund. He does not answer his phone when called by Booking.com and when we try to call him.

Brooks Hill Suites Unit 238 – March/April 2021 The owner and our host Gavin was already there upon our arrival waiting to welcome us to Brooks Hill Suite number 238. He then gave us a tour of the unit, the rest of the complex, the beautiful gardens and pool area and obviously the wonderful view of the Ocean and Beachfront. The safe in the room came in very handy, hair dryer etc in the bedroom, everything we needed in the kitchen and even some emergency lights just in case loadshedding comes around We received first class treatment from the owners. Gavin and his lovely wife were fantastic! Very helpful, punctual, honest and ensured that the unit was clean. Clean bedding and towels supplied every week “and the Lindt Chocolate” A Bonus – thank you! Inside an ottoman in the unit we even found some polar fleece blankets and cushions to use when we sat outside early in the morning sipping our coffee whilst watching the beautiful sunrise. AWESOME!! One day Gavin even called to tell us to keep an eye on the beautiful ocean because there were some dolphins swimming in our direction. Well, we can go on and on about this but to sum it up, we received 5 Star treatment from the owners. Gavin and his wife were fantastic! This was our 1st visit to Brookes Hill Suites but certainly not the last. Definitely highly recommended!!!!

I made a reservation for accommodation in Port Elizabeth for Brooke Hill Suites, they had a room available for myself and family at R4000 for 5 nights and R200 extra for 2 beds. I was happy that we found something, I waited for the reservation confirmation so that I could pay. In 24 hours nothing was received, I called again and again nothing was received although it was confirmed that I have a booking. On the third call, i said I would like to confirm my booking I was given a reservation number, told the price and told that I could pay on site when I arrived. I did not want to get SC_ ____ED, so I put everything in an email and the sales person confirmed that everything is in order. Only to arrive last night and told that I have to pay an extra R1000, no beds in the room, toilet leaking and the room smells mouldy. We have no other place to stay, so we paid for one night and no the onus is on us to find alternate accommodation at no fault of our own. Why do people make ones holiday so unpleasant?

I made 3 booking with Corne Dippenaar at Brooks Hill suites - which are not a part of Brooks hill, as Corne owns the unit. The booking was made for 27&28 Jan 2018- for 1 Adult and 2 kids. it was my grand daughters birthday and she was so looking forward to her weekend stay at Brooks hill. My daughter arrived with her husband an 4 kids. Only 3 was going to stay over, and the other 3 was day visitors. It was discussed with Corne and he said they could bring a mattress with, as the unit is only for 2 ppl. They rocked up the saturday to take occupation, and he performed in the reception area, taking the keys with him and not giving them an ultimatum at all. I mentioned to him that i want my money back as i have paid him in full for all my booking in November 2017. I demanded my money back, and his answer was he can not refund me, as i can find some one to occupy the unit. He has actually controvened the body corp laws. He was not even supposed to advertise on Lekker Slaap. End result is i am the loser of my money with this guy. He said if i want my money i must speak to my attorney. I would never recommend anyone to Corne because of his attitude towards people My granddaughter was in tears, as they had to return home with her birthday cake and all. This man had no heart towards kids even, he wouldn't accept treatment like that from somebody. Let alone being a business owner his attitude stinks His contact numbers are: ********** - **********

As we are technical officials at the Athletics SA'S we go early and back late<br> when we arrive just after 8 at the hotel there are other people in our rooms-we get access with our keys they provided us with yesterday..wish you could have seen their faces when we walked in. Then we had to go to <br> reception and get our clothes ect that was put in plastic bags even our underwear..this bother me the most not even my husband touch my underwear<br> our stuff where thrown like wrotten vegetables into a room just on the floor.then we had to find out he forgot to tell us about their booking and just sorry hear are your new rooms and keys there is your stuff check it and sort it<br> this is not the way its done...<br> <br> may I ask if you want to phone me just remember we are technical officials and buzy at the athletics so our phones will be off during the competition<br> <br> but feel free to contact me on Sunday or the day after<br> <br> this is an invasion of my privacy<br>
