I am extremely disappointed with the service from Browns Financial Services (BFS). Despite honouring every instalment of my 6-month finance agreement on time—via a direct debit that ran from October 2023 to March 2024—they incorrectly reported that I was in arrears for April, May, and June 2024.
This false adverse listing has severely impacted my credit score and resulted in me receiving a poor interest rate on a recent vehicle finance application. I have submitted both the loan agreement and bank statements to prove that the account was paid in full and on time, yet the matter remains unresolved.
This type of administrative negligence is unacceptable, especially when it affects someone’s financial reputation and future. I urge BFS to take accountability and rectify the error with all relevant credit bureaus immediately.
Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend dealing with BFS. Transparency and accuracy are the minimum one should expect from any financial service provider.
