Shocking customer service

<p>I have thought long and hard about this situation, thinking that i was in the wrong. I am a student currently studying at tuks and in the current situation of things we have had to make plans to complete group assignments as we cannot use the campus grounds. </p> <p> </p> <p>Our group members decide each week where we will meet to work on our assignment, usually at local cafe or restaurant. This time we decided to go to cafe grenadine in hillcrest shopoing center. </p> <p> </p> <p>Upon arrival the manager greeted us and we said to him table for 5 please, he then took us to our table. I usually make a point there off to talk friendly to the waiters and establish a happy atmosphere at the table. The waitress was not so friendly. </p> <p> </p> <p>Long story short, we usually spend up to 3-5hours working on assignments during which we order drinks and food throughout this time period. As more of our members arrived we ordered drinks, myself and 2 other of the 5. </p> <p> </p> <p>I then proceeded to order food myself and 1 other person. The waitress stood there and waited as i then said "thats all thank you" - she then replied," you all have to order something otherwise the manager is going to have a problem" </p> <p> </p> <p>i said," i have never heard of something like that in my  life, we have ordered drinks and food, please call me your manager "</p> <p> </p> <p>She then walked away with a heavy attitude without calling the manager. After that experience i decided to cancel the order and asked het once again to call the manager. She told me ," he is rigt there, go speak to him yourself" </p> <p> </p> <p>she brought me the bill and abruptly took the R100 note from my hand and threw me the R40 change. I stood up and asked the manager," you waitress has been extremely rude" - He said ," no she's not, she is an excellent waitress and she has worked with me for 5 years" </p> <p> </p> <p>i said," i have never heard of a business that turns away clients for not ordering F&B for everyone" </p> <p> </p> <p>He said," Listen GUY..." i then said to him this place is absolutely ridiculous and he just grinned at me as we all walked out of the cafe. Never have i ever felt so belittled and disrespected by a restaurant and it's staff. I will never set foot there again , because if you order a water they will probably chase you out. </p> <p> </p> <p>Cafe grenadine is only good enough for you if the manager and waitresses approve it. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
