Today I got stuck in a lift for about 45 minutes at campus square mall. The mall had loadshedding and what I know is lifts are not supposed to operate because you don't know when will be the next power outage. I used the lift to access the top level but as soon as I got in and pressed 1 to go to the top floor. The lift experienced a power outage. What makes it worse is nobody knew I was in the lift stuck besides the security that could not do anything. I then decided to call a lady by the name of Christy her number was On the emergency platform numbers she stated that she will let them know as in the centre management. But she never got back to me. So I called another number that was right on the top. Luckly I had airtime because it was like centre management was not assisting at all. For me to stay calm I contacted three family members to let them know what's happening. The lift was starting to get cold as I sit there. I kept on telling the guy to please hurry with the technician because the cold was starting to hit my back. I never felt so embarrassed in my life. So it's like if I didn't call I would of probably sat there for hours on the cold floor ?. The technician than came told me what to do to open the lift manually than toke my details hence I am still waiting on an apology from the centre for having so poor service. It was like I was a laughing stock stuck in lift. The way security handled it... It was a complete disaster.

Campus Square is on University road right opposite University of Johannesburg Campus. The shopping centre has a bit of all the modern shops and a couple of restaurants. Ample parking with good security on the open and in the ba*****t as well.

The parking at this mall is terrible. In my lifetime, I have not experienced paying R50 for a parking ticket for 4+ hours. This is beyond ridiculous. The parking for 3-4 hours cost R7 than it skips a total of R43 for 4+ hours. No one is willing to assist you send you from one person to the other. I had a meeting at wimpy and was there for just over 4 hours. What if I did not have R50. Once paying this money, I set in traffic going out of this ridiculous parking for another 20 minutes. The boom gate was than opened and people could go through with just producing their ticket to the person at the boom gate, these tickets were not checked and anyone could have left without paying their tickets. Campus square should rethink their parking rates. They are catering to students mostly and this is unacceptable.

Parked on a disabled spot today that was not clearly marked.

I was in a hurry and arrived back at the car to find it clamped. Nobody sympathised with the fact that I could not possibly have identified the parking as a disabled parking as there were no blue signs in front of the parking as I pulled into the bay and the marking on the ground was not visible from the direction I had pulled in from.

R250 later.

Please use the money to erect proper signage.
