Capetown Avenue
Based on recent customer reviews, Capetown Avenue is drawing overwhelmingly critical feedback from shoppers who feel misled by its online retail experience. A recurring theme is that customers expected a locally based store but discovered items shipping from China, often arriving in incorrect sizes or of noticeably lower quality than advertised. Buyers consistently mention difficulties securing refunds, with partial refund offers and return-to-China requirements cited as frustrating. While an occasional shopper praises product quality and delivery speed for a special occasion, trust and authenticity concerns dominate the conversation.

Quick response, quality is very good. In love woth my dress, I wore it to a beautifull wedding. Had a blast dancing in the dress. Would definitely recommend the store! Could track my package well through the website and even though I ordered it kind of late for the wedding it good there fast and in time😁

This is an online clothing store, promising "worry free returns". I ordered a size 6 pair of shoes, and was eventually sent a smaller size, probably a size 5 , possible smaller (no size indicated on the shoe!). Too many email correspondences later, Capetown Avenue insist I return to shoes to an address in China for a refund, alternatively accept a 15% and now a 25% refund, or a 50% discount on a future purchase. The owner of the business Emma is deflecting and delaying and obfuscating. I suspect that this may be in the hopes that I will simply lose energy, and drop the case. I have reported this to CGSO . The Capetown Avenue website is misleading: had I known how difficult they would make it to return goods, and get a refund, I would not have made the purchase in the first place. The owner of this business has been most unprofessional in not addressing the matter in a transparent and timeous fashion. I find myself wondering if this company has faced many similar cases, and uses this tactic (delay, make contradictory offers, obfuscate) in an effort to wear people down in the hopes that they will simply go away. Please be warned. I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment from Takealot or TEMU. Very disappointing and a sad reflection of the Cape Town business ethic.

online retailer. purchased a pair of shoes, requested a size 6 and a size 4 arrived. I assumed based on the name of the company that it is based in Cape Town. I attempted to return the shoes and discovered the company is based in China. I am expected to return the shoes at my cost - despite that they made an error in the size - the value of the return is more than the value of the shoes. I am now stuck with a pair of shoes that dont fit and cannot return. I have mailed over again and they insist the shoes are to be returned to China. Never ever buy anything Chinese again.
