This is an online clothing store, promising "worry free returns". I ordered a size 6 pair of shoes, and was eventually sent a smaller size, probably a size 5 , possible smaller (no size indicated on the shoe!). Too many email correspondences later, Capetown Avenue insist I return to shoes to an address in China for a refund, alternatively accept a 15% and now a 25% refund, or a 50% discount on a future purchase. The owner of the business Emma is deflecting and delaying and obfuscating. I suspect that this may be in the hopes that I will simply lose energy, and drop the case. I have reported this to CGSO . The Capetown Avenue website is misleading: had I known how difficult they would make it to return goods, and get a refund, I would not have made the purchase in the first place. The owner of this business has been most unprofessional in not addressing the matter in a transparent and timeous fashion. I find myself wondering if this company has faced many similar cases, and uses this tactic (delay, make contradictory offers, obfuscate) in an effort to wear people down in the hopes that they will simply go away. Please be warned. I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment from Takealot or TEMU. Very disappointing and a sad reflection of the Cape Town business ethic.
Once again I am impressed with the level of service from Outsurance. Their agents ALWAYS respond to any claim with a personal telephone call, and ensure that one is safe (if in a car accident), and that one understands procedures. My recent pet insurance claim was misguided, and the agent went out of her way to explain why. I cannot recommend Outsurance strongly enough. Thank you.
