I have always found the service from Cargo Compass to be excellent. If you need to reach out to senior management they are available to handle queries on delays or issues. Overall I think they have good service and I appreciate their level of professionalism.

I asked Cargo Compass to hand over a shipment to my clearing agent. They then tripled their charges. What a disgusting practice. I asked their agent to query this for me, and their response: After checking with my Seafreight manager, please note that these are our standard handover charges we bill to freight forwarders. What rip-offs.

Some strapping and "corners" came loose from one of Cargo Compass's trucks and when it fell in front of and against my vehicle on the highway, it endangered my life and also caused some damage. Their driver acknowledged on the scene that the error was probably caused by incorrect application of the straps. However, they afterwards refused to speak with me directly and just referred me to their insurance company. This is understandable, but when the initial estimates of damage was presented to them by the insurers they refused to accept that most of the damage was caused by them. They claim that I only drove over some "plastic straps" and that it couldn't have caused much damage, but that completely ignores the facts that (1) their driver didn't even know that I was involved before I pulled him of the road (so he couldn't have known if the objects landed on my car or not), (2) those straps have metal hooks and ratchets on their ends, so they absolutely could cause damage to life and property and (3) apart from the straps, the large and heavy "corners" also fell from the top of the cargo. The end result is that I am only getting half the cost of repairing the damage back. This obviously proves to me that they are an unethical company who doesn't really care about the safety of the public, the quality of their work (incorrectly applied strapping) or the compensation of damages caused! I have detailed photos and descriptions of the whole incident available if needed.
