23 Nov 2022, 18:02 These are Unsubstantiated Accusations tantamount to LIES! It is very easy to blurt out derogatory terms, and to irresponsibly label persons or organisations etc., with baseless accusations and lies. The following TRUTH will prove the shocking lies directed at us by the client above. 1. We do not ever ask for a 90% deposit .Our quote clearly specifies 70%. (1ST LIE) (As a matter of fact, the client actually paid under 70% of his own accord- which we accepted) 2. By the time the client confirmed the deal, the colour chosen, was not available. (Stocks are volatile, and change all the time). We immediately stopped the client from paying any deposit, which he was eager to do, until he was happy to choose an alternative colour that he liked. A crook would have been just too happy to let the client pay first, and then give him a sad story. We did not do this. We gave the choice to re-choose. 3. The Client was then sent pictures of an alternate colour (similar), and the original colour to decide. On receipt of the picture, he immediately asked if he could pay. (Proof available). He then paid- Common sense tells you that the colour was acceptable to the client. 4. He was in a hurry for the fitting. Arrangements were made for the fitting of the flooring on that particular Friday. However, we distinctly told him that we need to be the last crew in- meaning that builders, tilers, etc. must be done and out prior to us beginning. 5. We Checked with the client a few times regarding the above- He assured us that all would be clear and insisted that we go there on that day. When we got there, the tilers, etc. were still busy. (2ND LIE). 6. Also, we requested that the place must be cleared of all rubble to which he assured that would all be cleared. However, when we got there, the place was in a mess- with tilers still busy. We called the client and told him about the situation to which he said that the Built-in-cupboard specialist, Zaheer was going to clean up. We Checked with Zaheer and he knew nothing about it however eventually obliged. (3rd LIE). Had we known that the site was not ready,we would not have put off other work, and gone there on that Friday that he requested. Since client was in a big hurry, we tried to please him- but to our detriment. 7. Nevertheless, we decided to finish off the bedroom after clearing it, and go back in the course of the following week to complete the other section where building work was still taking place- albeit at our cost. 8. The client inspected the job done while our fitting team were there and seemed absolutely pleased with the job, colour etc. and told our team to come in the next week and finish off the other section. 9. We are asking- if the colour or the job was not correct or good, why did he not bring it to our attention then, instead of asking us to complete the rest of it, in the ensuing week? Answer is simple : There was nothing wrong with either. Actually, this is self-explanatory, and should require no further proof but let us go on: 10. Surprisingly, during the course of the ensuing week, the client sent us a message to the effect, that he did not pay for the colour that was installed- we were taken aback. We reminded him of the entire process of the colour issue, and that he diligently paid the necessary deposit on seeing the picture of the alternative colour. More baffling, though, was the fact that he saw the colour installed in the bedroom and had no problem with that. Now it’s a different story. 11. He then said that he thought that he was paying for the original colour. Come on, how was that going to be possible, if that colour was not available, and he accepted the alternative colour. (as proven a few times above) – (5th LIE). 12.Now let us analyse this entire scenario: a) Firstly, the client was informed immediately about unavailability of chosen colour thereby, stopping him from paying any deposit until colour issue finalised. (Proof available). b) Secondly, picture of original colour and suggested alternative colour was sent to client for his decision. (Pictures available as proof). c) The client immediately sent a message asking: “Must pay now?” Then 6 minutes later, he messages: “U been paid.” Obviously meaning acceptance of b) above. So how come suddenly the client claims that he thought he is paying for the original colour???? d) Thirdly, the client inspected the fitted bedroom- Had no issues and told my guys to come back the following week since we could not complete the job due to the area being a mess and his building work (which we had absolutely no involvement in) being incomplete. So the so- called “wrong colour” was now fine. Why did he not say” hold it – wrong colour?”. Answer is simple : There was nothing wrong with the colour that he chose as an alternative.Think about it! These are just lies. 13.Due to the overwhelming lies being poured out by the client, we politely told him that we were not prepared to do the balance of the job as we cannot work with such liars. We offered, upfront, to refund him part of his deposit, after deducting the amount for the work completed thus far. We further offered to supply him the material, if he so wished. He just said “come and do the job.” We refused blatantly. He then called me a CROOK. It is funny that a liar, (as proven over and over above) is calling us crooks. 14. We then proceeded to refund him an amount of just over R2000.00 (Two Thousand Rands) with immediate payment. The client, however, demanded a refund of R6000.00 (Six Thousand Rands), out of the R9000.00 which he deposited- meaning he wanted to pay R3000.00 for the work done. This is Unreal. 16. Now let us analyse as to which amount is justified: a)The total amount for the 2 areas was just under R14000.00. Both areas very similarly sized meaning that the price of each area was around half of the total- notwithstanding other related costs. So that is what we took off his deposit, and refunded the balance of the deposit paid.He did not pay the full amount- but expects a refund of same it seems. b)This means that he expects the completed area to come in at R3000.00.No chance- He is just concocting stories, without thinking realistically. c) We challenge him to get exactly the same material, with accessories and expert workmanship for the area we did at around R3000.00- This is impossible. If he could, then why did he accept the deal at the said price in the first place? However it suffices that any sane and honest person can draw an unbiased conclusion from the above as to who is the Liar and who is the Crook. Everything purported above by us, can be proven. So what more can we say? Our challenge is open. This is the first time in almost 30 years we are called CROOKS- that too by a LIAR. Our reputation precedes us-not to be tainted by an opportunistic liar! You be the JUDGE!!
Best regards,
