Daylight robbery

<p>Took my project car to Carrera Motors to diagnose an electronic problem preventing starting. The problem ended up being a loose terminal on the power distribution, and a loose plug on the ignition. they also topped up power steering fluid and swopped two small pipes on the oil cooler. </p> <p> </p> <p>The price? Almost R8 000. Yes, 8 hours labour. Charging top dollar for their fumbling over the diagnosis. Interesting usiness model. You pay a top professional rate and would expect a s****ed specialist. had a gone direct to the agents, I am confident the bill would have been less than a third of this.</p> <p> </p> <p>Obviously very disappointed I approached the dealership with a complaint, genuinely feeling exploited. They were owever  non-negotiable and completely inflexible. </p> <p> </p> <p>My advise to Porsche owners. Steer clear. Go to M&R for an ethical, cost effective alternative, or diectly to the dealer.</p>
