Cavers Restaurant (51 Mountain Avenue Aldarapark,Johannesburg) don't accommodate any person with disability.We had a function a function of 30 people where 2 persons was bound to a wheelchair (male & female) When I requested to speak to the owner of Cavers Restaurant (Which wasn't on site) the manager firstly weren't to eager to give me the number After I demand the number I spoken to a lady & she promised me he will call me. A week later I am still waiting for the call I had to block out the whole ladies toilet when I had to take my wife to the toilet The window couldn't close in the ladies toilet The security can see from the car park right into the ladies toilet Even the manager agree this is unacceptable As we all know Health & Safety will take Cavers Restaurant's liquor license away due to the zero facilities With the owner zero commitment to contact me after a week I will also set the ball rolling

I am soooo disappointed! The first time i came here I ordered a Portugese chicken pizza! Freakin AWESOME! It was in the afternoon. Don’t know if they change chefs in the evening. Told all my friends to go! The *** on the beach ****tail was in a beer glass so you really got your Money’s worth.! Awesome experience and told everyone this is the place to go! The second time i ordered a Guinness pie and the same ****tail. Pie was ok but ****tail was totally not what a *** on the beach was supposed to be but send it back and second time it was perfect! Third time we came in the evening. Asked for my favourite / Portuguese chicken pizza…. I got something with pineapple and everything they decided must come on the pizza! Not what i orderd! Send it back, AGAIN IT WAS NOT WHAT WAS ON THE MENU! No caramelised onions no Portugese chicken.. i was soooo disappointed! They did not even try! And the ****tail was just alcohol and no juice.. and the service was very poor! Waiter disappeared for long periods. When we started walking out she said oh you want to pay! Talking away with the other personal! A special night spoiled by bad service! What a pity a recommended this place to everyone i know! Wont be coming back!

I ordered Short Rob, it arrived over done and dry and tough. They then suggested Eisbein, which was awesome the previous time I was there, it was overcooked and chewy. Now I have a runny stomach, due to the food It aggravates me when you pay lots of money for food that is overcooked. I would rather Braai everything at home because I don't kill it.

I was told that we were not allowed to order the brandy special at the restaurant section and only in the bar, but I can order at the bar and take it to the restaurant, upon drinking one glass at the bar and taking the second glass to rejoin my family at the restuarant I was aggressively told what am I doing I an not allowed instead of being told politely after a waiter said I can do this... The is very degrading as a loyal patron coming gere for more than a few years.

Just returned from Carvers. The worst service I have ever experienced. Ordered a steak for myself and a smaller one for my partner. They were so tough you couldn't cut it with a knife. It was worse than old leather, solid blocks of sinew. The manager/owner must have noticed and he said I didn't have to pay. But that's not the problem, this was my lunch he should have taken them away and immediately replaced them. I noticed other people eating steaks and they were able to cut them like butter. Then people were smoking. This I'd a public place and I actually feel ill. I never saw the end of the rugby because it felt I wanted to pass out.

<p>This was the worst experience ever. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone ever. In fact I will tell people that they must not go to this place. The attitude of the Manager was utterly disgusting. It was a waste of good money and time. The food was mediocre, there were big "brommer" flies everywhere and they were cutting grass while we were trying to enjoy our lunch. Most individuals only got there food 2 hours later, some of the chips were burnt and no sauce served with the food. The manager treats her staff terribly, she started taking the buffet food away around14:38 and was shouting at the staff for no reason. Not to mention how the take away items were packaged. We booked for 10 people and did not specify that we wanted buffet yet we were told that we confirmed for buffet. Now I can see why they ask for a 50% deposit up front it's to force you to eat there. Eventually we were told we can order anything from the normal menu however they wanted to charge us R150. When ordering from the normal menu we were told that they don't have enough of most of the items that we wanted. for e.g they only had enough Lamb chops for 3 people, they didn't have any oxtail, they only had 2 baby chickens. They only had one waiter to serve us as well (She tried her best to assist). I recommend that an audit be conducted by this restaurant for cleanliness and the way the staff is treated. Also the buffet did not have the wide variety of food as stated on the website. I had to ask one of the staff to close the food that we were eating from as the flies were sitting on the food. The manager had a stinking attitude and felt that she had to make it known to me that she is not happy that we are not all having buffet. One of our staff who took her food home advised us that she had to through it away as it was smelling bad. Due to this bad experience we want a total refund of the money spent.</p> <p> </p>
