I have just been to Nitida Cassia restaurant for lunch with a friend from the UK and this is the first time I have been disappointed in the meal. The Cape Salmon was white and not pink, it was overcooked and extremely salty. Our friend didn't want the chips with her beefburger and asked if she could have vegetables instead and the waiter said that it wasn't possible as they couldn't serve a side of vegetables but she could have salad, which she declined. My partner and our guest asked for a Fortado and imagine their surprise when it was served in an espresso cup which gave them one mouthful of coffee! I have never seen a Fortado that wasn't served in a normal cup. We could and should of complained there and then but we didn't want to make a fuss in front of our visitor given that we had recommended the restaurant to her. Having had such an experience (and one that wasn't cheap) we will not be returning which is a pity as the setting is so good.

Cassia is situated on the Nitida Wine Estate. The restaurant is light and airy with large windows. Choose a table near the windows for uninterrupted views of the farm dam and vines. The portions are generous and the food is fresh and seasonal—their famous pork belly with litchi-infused passion fruit glaze is bold and hearty, while the linefish and Jamaican flatbread is a unique and flavourful choice.

Nitida with its beautiful view was one of my favorite restaurants, but my experience this afternoon was disappointing. First the bread came with pink marks on both sides. The waiter brought another piece on request with no explanation, but it looked like someone with lipstick on their fingers had handled the bread,. Secondly, the feta in the salad was very obviously off. They brought a new salad with fresh feta. And finally after my husband finished his meal, there was a hair on his plate. A pity about lack of quality service, because the setting is beautiful.

What a wonderful all round experience at Cassia Restaurant at Nitida. Besides the beautiful setting, great food, what made our experience awesome was the fantastic service from our waitress, Nicole. Well done!

Terrible service, They made mistake with my order and I only received my food after everyone was done eating and paid the bill... Then thereafter, my surprise Baby Shower was at the same restaurant... I walked in and immediately got asked what I want to eat, no welcome, nothing. We paid a fee to have the cake there and they kept taking the knife away and peoples coffees that were full. Just NO NO NO.
