Hello,
Three days ago, I lost my three-year-old tabby cat, my first fur baby to kidney failure and a severe bladder infection. His decline was sudden and heartbreaking: once an adventurous and energetic companion, he became gravely ill, passing ****** stool, vomiting blood, and urinating blood. According to the SPCA, these symptoms were the result of consuming Catmor cat food.
Only after his passing did I begin researching and discovered that many other pet owners have reported similar experiences linked to Catmor, going back several years. I was devastated to learn that these issues are not new yet no substantial actions have been taken to reform the product or issue proper warnings.
I am writing not only from a place of grief but with a sincere concern for other cats and their owners. How is it that a product known to cause harm is still widely sold and even accepted by organizations like the SPCA when it is donated? Why aren’t pet owners being properly warned before it’s too late?
I’ve attached a screenshot that supports the fact that this has been an ongoing issue, with little to no change or accountability from the brand. I believe Catmor should either be reformulated to meet safe nutritional standards or be discontinued .
I’m sharing this not to spread hate—but to protect other cats from suffering the way mine did. If you love your pets, please do your research before trusting any pet food brand. And please, if you’ve had a similar experience, speak up and please share.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope steps can be taken to ensure that other pets do not suffer the same fate as my precious cat.
