I bought some shirts on sale, on Thursday the 25th. One shirt was torn, and the other didn't sit nicely. I went back to return the two on the 26th. This was not allowed because it was sale items. Which is the first problem. Only after I had already paid for all the items, was I informed that I could not return it for my money. I took it home to think about what I would exchange it for, so as not to make any rash decisions and possibly having to return once again, to be dealt with in an unhelpful manner another time. On Tuesday the 30th I went back to the store and chose some shoes to exchange the unwanted shirts with. When I got to the till, I was informed that the shoes are five cents cheaper than the items for exchange, but this was not a problem for me. Losing five cents won't make me bankrupt. I was informed that the problem is that the till cannot be opened unless the amounts are the same, in other words I have to either choose a more expensive item, or go choose a second item. Which means I have to spend yet more money, whereas all I wanted was my money back on the shirts!
