I took out a contract with cell c in Jan 2017 and with the contract i took out insurance aswell. There was no stock for the phone i requested they went out of their way to order me a phone everything went well and service was good or so I thought. Everything went sour when my phone broke and i took it in on the 4th of November at the Southgate branch. I recieved a quotation for the phone and i asked why i had to pay when i have insurance. They told me that I had to go back to the store i filled in a claim form and recieved a message saying that I dont have insurance on my phone. My mom called the carlton centre branch and they told her we should come to carlton centre they will sort it out. When we got there we spoke to a consultant he called the insurance and they said that I dont have insurance they asked me if they have been debiting my account I said that I dont know as it is only R70 any amount under R100 doesnt reflect on my balance and I never checked as the money for the phone went off on my account so the money for insurance went off. Therafter they said that it was never taken off my account and there was nothing that they could do. We then told the consultant that we have nothing to do with that because its not our fault that the insurance was not activated as I have proof that i requested insurance and an email that the consultant at carlton centre sent the insurance for activation. So we told the consultant that he should figure something out and get back to us with feed back as they have my details. Days later I did not recieve any feedback and on the 21st Nov I called the carlton centre branch and I asked for the manager I then asked him how far are they do they have any feedback for me he called the consultantthat we spoke to instead of only asking him for feed back and assisting me he gave the phone to the consultand and when i asked him what him what feedback he has for me he told me with an attitude that as he told me the previous time that there is nothing that he could do.... So I assume that he didnt follow up or try to resolve it for me..... I then asked him so what do I do now because all Im getting is problems and not solutions and he then very rudly told me he isnt the one who is supposed to be resolving this its not his problem and i then rudly told him that he should have told me that when i was at the store and i would have spoken to the person he then told me "Dont you dare speak to me like that" so meaning that cell c consultants are meant to be rude and customers should just subject... He told me that i should phone head office and tell them what happened....... so i should be the one doing their jobs i dont see why i should be the one phoning as i dont work at cell c or c surrance to be explaining their mistakes.. I then told the consultant that since no1 can give me solutions and only problems i will give him two its either they will sort this mess out or i will take it further.... The guy then was quiet for a long time i tried getting his attention for a long time i dnt know if he was ignoring me or waiting for me to get tired and drop the call i the cut the call and no1 has contacted me since .... But either way its rude and unprofesional to do that... I am really disgusted and dissapointed with cell c service as i regret going to cell c it has been one and a half months already without a phone and no1 has contacted me with feedback
