<div>CENTRAFIN We initially concluded an agreement with this company for the supply/financing of a telephone system at an agreed monthly rate. Our telephone systems stopped working and we were left having no functioning system. Clients could therefore not reach our office. Despite our continuous correspondence, the situation persisted. Centrafin however continued to charge us for the full monthly rental amount for the telephones despite being unable to deliver their product and service as initially agreed to between the parties. We deemed this as a repudiation of the agreement on their part as they could no longer deliver for what we paid for. Centrafin then requested that they are going to collect the equipment. Accordingly, we stopped with payments to them. Centrafin, despite them being fully aware of the situation continued to, on a daily and weekly basis, request payment by sending emails, WhatsApp messages and contacting us telephonically, to a point where it bordered on harassment. Centrafin then went as far as to ********ly and without approaching the court or obtaining judgment herein, blacklist the company as well as the director. Take note that it was never pointed out and/or explained that a surety would be involved in this matter. This blacklisting can affect any company and/or individual detrimentally, yet Centrafin did not hesitate to take this action against one of their clients. From the inception of the matter it was our aim to find a solution, Centrafin was however never interested in same and chose to proceed with their narrow-minded approach to demand payment and threatened us on a weekly basis. Centrafin unnecessarily ****** us of a lot of our time by dealing with their abundance of emails and calls. We now also need to endeavor to remove our names from the ******** blacklisting. We most certainly would not recommend this Company as their way of doing business is unacceptable. They do not treat their clients with any respect and have no intention of resolving a problem amicably between the parties.</div>

12 Aug 2024, 11:41Unfortunately this client is confusing the financier of the equipment with the services offered by supplier of their choice. To use an analogy - you do not stop paying the bank for your car if the dealer offered to service the car and not isn't doing so.
The hardware and the services are distinctly separate. In addition, the client (who are lawyers and understand contracts) warrants that they have read all the documentation which includes a Non-Performance Based Rental Agreement, a Guarantee and a simple Release Note that confirms that the agreement is installed, working and particularly that it does not cover any maintenance and services.
I note that Ms van Rensburg has slandered the financier but makes no mention of the supplier they chose to procure the equipment from and any of the arrangements they made on the side of the agreement which we were not party to.
Ms van Rensburg, by his/her own admission states that Centrafin gave ample warning of our standing with daily and weekly updates and therefore cannot claim that the black-listing was done without notice.
Our team have advised that try as we may to explain our role in the funding of the hardware, the client will not see our position. We really do try to resolve issues but we cant win them all.

After perusing the comments of various other unhappy clients, it is blatantly apparent that this is a standard practice for Centrafin. The direct conduct of Centrafin results in clients having the equipment but with no working lines, as can also be seen in the various other comments. Despite leaving their clients in this position, Centrafin’s approach is then not to be accommodating towards their client for a problem that was created by them but they rather resort to ******** blacklisting.
We trust that the above has shed light on the matter. This matter will not be left here, and we reserve our right to approach the relevant Ombud for relief herein.

If we were a supplier of telephony equipment and services, I would understand your position. Anyone reading these posts will no doubt believe your version of events and therefore we will take this matter offline. As you are aware, the matter is now subject to a legal process.

It is unfortunate that this platform is being used to settle a matter that was not of our making. If we were a supplier of telephony equipment and services, I would understand your position. Anyone reading these posts will no doubt believe your version of events and therefore we will take this matter offline. As you are aware, the matter is now subject to a legal process.
