Good customer service
A very good customer service from Reception to Paint Centre, Sandile helped us in a very professional manner. He was dealing with my boss Mr. Mbatha and set up everything according and I just came there to pick up our staff. Keep up the good work Sandile.!!! Regards Nancy Radebe Thank you

Unprofessional
Your staff is on holiday! I’ve called in and was transferred to different people the entire time. I was told by Lerato that she’s busy with my query only for her to speak to someone in the background and hand the phone to someone else who just said hello and giggled then I had to wait for someone to actually pick the phone back up. I thought I was in a game of hot potato.

Excellent Customer Service -Beyond the line of duty
A big Shout out to two extraordinarily excellent employees Karabo Lesika & Mavuthela Ngutshana at the Garden Service in Chamberlain. I came looking for a garden stake that I had seen online. It took a bit of time to find the stock but these two young people were so excellent in their focus making sure that I got the best experience even in locating the specific item. They went over and beyond the line of duty to make it their business that I got exactly what I needed as was displayed on the Chamberlaine website online. I applaud good customer service just as I am an "Educational Critic" of shady customer Service. These two displayed the dormer to the utmost best as a result I went to their manager upstairs and gave him great feedback A real BIG shout out to these two Karabo Karabo Lesika & Mavuthela Ngutshana Keep up the good work and your pleasant attitude. PS. Chamberlain is my shopping place of choice from the garden, decor, taps lighting,garage motor etc Again Mavuthela and Karabo GOD bless your careers may you Excell to greater promotion 🙏

Arrogant attitude of a staff member at Chamberlains Kyalami
I am building an entire Kitchen and large BIC in a bedroom and need white melamine boards cut. I make most of my hardware purchases from Chamberlains as I find them reasonable and helpful. When I checked pricing I found Builders Warehouse substantially less expensive per board than Chamberlains and they included cutting for free. I decided to approach the person at Chamberlains who handles the board sales and cutting and discuss the huge price differential. I was met with an arrogant attitude and "We only sell Bison boards" if you don't like the price go to Builders Warehouse. No offer to possibly offer a less expensive product for those who want it. Builders here I come.......I will probably purchase much of my other hardware there at the same time!!!!!!!!! What a pity because mostly the staff at chamberlains are very helpful

Beware-Three different prices for the same item.
I bought a small plant and vase at this store. The price of the vase showed R189. At check out, it scanned R228. When I enquired why it wasn’t what it should be, the cashier enquired with the lady at the front desk. Suddenly a very glum faced man, (Bennie) appeared at the cashiers till. We talked a bit and then he asked me to follow him to the shelf where I found the item. Mind you, all this time being wasted on a very hot day. He looked at the item on the shelf, it showed R189, he then scanned the item again and now it showed R306. What’s going on? 3 different prices on the same item! Eventually a very nice African man came to me and apologized about the price differences. He also looked confused about why the vase had 3 different prices. After paying, I left the store annoyed and disappointed at the same time. Bennie didn't even have the decency to apologize. So beware of what you buy as it could have varied prices on the same item. Yeah!
