I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Champion Gearz.
I placed an order (#4815) on 12 April and cancelled it within 24 hours (on 13 April) in line with their stated refund policy. Despite this, I have had to chase them across WhatsApp, email, and phone calls just to get a response.
Instead of processing my valid cancellation, they:
- Delayed responses and sent automated messages - Initially refused to process my refund, claiming “they only saw my cancellation after the refund timeline” (their exact words: “Yes we know our refund policy, but as stated that we saw your cancellation well over the refund timeline”) - Tried to convince me not to cancel rather than actioning my request - Claimed I only qualify for a refund once they receive funds back from their supplier - Provided inconsistent and misleading explanations about their own refund policy - Ignored messages and deleted my comments on social media
They are effectively withholding my money (R1,149.95) despite me following their policy correctly within the required timeframe. Their internal delays in reading messages or paying suppliers are not my responsibility as a customer.
This has been a frustrating experience marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional conduct.
I would strongly caution others before purchasing from this business.
I am still awaiting my refund.
