I have been to Checkers Eastgate from time to time
I have been to Checkers Eastgate from time to time. It certainly is a superior shop. The way it fails dismally and puts all their good work to shame is when going to the tills. There is always such a long queue and the minimum time it takes to get to pay is 10 minutes, frequently longer. On a few occasions when I have been to buy bread products, it has proved not worth my while to stand in the absurd long queues and I have just left my packet on the way out.

I have been to Checkers Eastgate from time to time. It certainly is a superior shop. The way it fails dismally and puts all their good work to shame is when going to the tills. ELFBAR EW9000 - Waste of money
I am quite disappointed with the vape I purchased yesterday around 12, Elf bar EW9000. It's supposed to be 9000 puffs, however when I woke up this morning it done, I mean I couldn't have finished it in 1 day, what a *******, will never purchase that brand again.

I bought a box of BOSTON cappuccino on the 01/05 with 10 sachets inside, and it’s best before date was 14/04, unfortunately I couldn’t return it to the store as i was traveling to a different province, I know it might be the packer’s fault but i was so disappointed.

Outstanding Service
It's been ages since I experienced such outstanding service at Checkers Eastgate! To the owners and management, I would appreciate it if you would acknowledge, Fikile Phoyi (Teller) and Sibongile Nkuna (Packer). I had a trolley full of groceries when I got to the till, I was welcomed with beautiful smiles and friendliness. Everything I asked of them was done efficiently and carefully. They really went the extra Mile for me today, I asked them to change my trolley as the trolleys are not fantastic as far as maintaining them goes. Nothing was to much for these ladies. I would suggest you look after employees like this because they are very rare! Hats off to you ladies for an outstanding job well done. Thank for handling my groceries as if they were your own.

Visited the store this morning. Had excellent service from Byron. Didn't get his surname. Dropped what he was doing and assisted us with our purchase (100kgs extra) on our shopping list. Checkers, value staff like him. He is an asset to your store.

Bad customer service
I got in the store to purchase some snacks only to find out that the item was priced wrong..as I was abt to pay... But the assistance manager Donivan,, promised that he will come back to us n we have been waiting on the tills left unattended... This is such a bad service you would expect more especially in such a huge store😖😖🥵

Management should be aware that there are people that go into the shop and ask other customers for money Twice I came across the same lady on different occasions asking me for money . The story is that the card declined and they cannot buy bread or food for her kids. Or it’s a sob story of how she is just short to get food and she is starving. This throws us off as the customer becomes I want to shop in peace and not have people asking for money.

Eastgate Mall Checkers treated me like a thieve and traumatized me and my son.
on the 28th, I was with my 3year old son we went for shopping...right after doing my shopping as we went out the machine beeped (signaling that I had not paid one of my items).... To cut the story short a Security supervisor was called up to deal with the matter, when he took me to the cashier who was assisting me the two ladies denied seeing the item on my grocery list ( which was the panado medicine)... I asked the manager to check the cameras because i was now being taken for a thieve and everyone was starring at me, only to find out that the item was charged and is on the receipt..... Checkers employees failed to take accountability and apologize.even the employees did nothing.
