Complaint against City Bug I had originally booked for my brother to travel from Nelspruit to Pretoria on 18 July 2025. After the booking was confirmed, I was contacted by City Bug and informed that the bus was overbooked by one person. As a result, the booking was amended to be under my name, travelling on 4 September 2025 from Lanseria to Nelspruit.
Due to a medical reason (which I prefer not to disclose publicly), I am unable to travel. When I enquired about a refund, I was referred to the Terms & Conditions. My concern is that before confirming the name change and amended booking, City Bug should have emphasised the Terms & Conditions or at least made me aware of the implications of accepting the change. Had I been properly informed then, I could have considered my options, including requesting a refund at that stage.
I feel this was not handled fairly, as the original problem came from City Bug’s overbooking, and clearer communication at the time would have prevented this situation.
