I would like to raise a concern regarding the service I received today on my trip from Total Corridor, Emalahleni to Centurion. My ticket was booked for the 12:30 departure. However, at 12:17 I received a final boarding call informing me that the bus would be leaving in five minutes. I immediately phoned at 12:18 to explain that I was on my way and approximately 1 km away from the pick-up point. During the call I was told that if I was not on the bus, they would leave without me. I arrived at the stop at approximately 12:21 and by 12:23 the bus had already departed. The driver even mentioned that they would have left me behind had I not arrived when I did. This was quite concerning, as my ticket clearly indicated a 12:30 departure time, and I believe I arrived well within a reasonable time before the scheduled departure. In addition to this, after thanking the driver for waiting, he asked whether I had a cooldrink for him as a way of saying thank you. I found this request to be very unprofessional and inappropriate. I would appreciate it if this matter could please be looked into, as passengers should be able to rely on the scheduled departure times and expect professional conduct from staff.

I am writing to formally follow up and lodge a complaint regarding my outstanding luggage damage claim arising from an accident that occurred on 5 July 2025 while travelling with Citybug from OR Tambo International Airport to Nelspruit. During the accident, I sustained multiple fractures to my spine and ribs, and my suitcase was severely damaged. Following the incident, I initiated a claim for the damaged luggage as advised. The process unfolded as follows: I initially reported the damaged luggage to Citybug, after which the Citybug manager referred me to twkAgri Brokers to facilitate the claim. I have been actively following up since August 2025. Ms Redelinghuys (twkAgri Brokers) later informed me that the claim had been forwarded to QMB Associates, where it was assigned to Ms Nazeera. I provided all required documentation and information by 10 November 2025. On 13 November 2025, Ms Nazeera confirmed in writing that all documentation was in order and that the claim was undergoing validation. Since then, I have experienced no further communication or progress. Ms Nazeera has been unresponsive to my calls, and when I escalated the matter back to Citybug management and Ms Redelinghuys, I was informed that nothing further could be done as the claim is with a third party. This situation is deeply concerning. I have comp**** fully with all requirements, exercised patience over several months, and followed the prescribed process diligently. The lack of accountability, communication, and resolution is unacceptable—particularly considering the trauma and injuries I suffered as a result of the accident.

I was travelling from Nelspruit to O.R Tambo and we had to stop in Belfast to pick up a lady, that’s when I nicely asked the driver if I could grab my suitcase so I can get my jersey because I was feeling cold in the bus. The driver immediately went off at me and started shouting at me saying I should be more organised and should’ve taken my jersey before departure. I tried explaining to him that I didn’t want to have to ask for him to switch off the AC because that would be selfish and he continued to say it’s not cold. I was in such disbelief but instead I just went ahead and grabbed my own suitcase because I was COLD. He was so irritated and that’s when I decided to write a formal complaint against him to City Bug which has gone very quiet. Honestly don’t see myself getting on City bug or recommending it to anyone EVER.

My daughter was travelling from OR to Bloemfontein. We got to OR and we go to the shuttle terminal to ask if the bus to Bloemfontein has an arrived. The Citybug gentleman tells us our bus is running late we must go inside and relax. We go inside and 10 mins into us waiting my daughter goes into the office to ask if the bus is there yet, same gentleman dismisses my daughter and tells her that I already told you your bus is running late. He later comes in to tell us the bus is outside, when we get there her name is not on the list. We go to the office only to find out the bus left. I was made to pay R100 for a new ticket even though we were there on time. I was **** to pay for their staff incompetence because they could have checked on which bus she was supposed to be on instead of being dismissed. The lady in the office claimed to have called me and I even showed her that there are no missed calls or voicemail from them. She gave me an email address for their manager to make a formal complaint. This manager did nothing for me. No accountability was taken nor refund offered for the R100 I was made to pay even though we were there on time. What a traumatic event for my child who was already suffering from separation anxiety.

Complaint against City Bug I had originally booked for my brother to travel from Nelspruit to Pretoria on 18 July 2025. After the booking was confirmed, I was contacted by City Bug and informed that the bus was overbooked by one person. As a result, the booking was amended to be under my name, travelling on 4 September 2025 from Lanseria to Nelspruit. Due to a medical reason (which I prefer not to disclose publicly), I am unable to travel. When I enquired about a refund, I was referred to the Terms & Conditions. My concern is that before confirming the name change and amended booking, City Bug should have emphasised the Terms & Conditions or at least made me aware of the implications of accepting the change. Had I been properly informed then, I could have considered my options, including requesting a refund at that stage. I feel this was not handled fairly, as the original problem came from City Bug’s overbooking, and clearer communication at the time would have prevented this situation.
