DO NOT USE CJH DIETRICHSEN ROOFERS & WATERPROOFING 'CONTRACTORS'
On buying our home, we 'inherited' the 'guarantee' for the outside room roof as there was a previous roof leakage problem. A few months on, there was another leak issue. The 'guarantee' fell away as now it was a 'different' problem experienced. We had to pay to have this fixed and the original 10 year guarantee went down to 2 years. A few months on, we had the same problem within the 'guarantee' period and at great expense, we had to fix the entire roof due to 'another' problem. We got a 10 year guarantee this time round. Needless to say, 2 weeks later and after we were promised that the roof won't give us any more problems, it did. The same problem occurred and the roof was still leaking after the rains we had. The 'new' replacement roof gave us more problems than before due to poor workmanship. I remember at the time of them doing the roof, Cassie, the owner and his 'business partner' was never around to supervise the job. I think they probably got their labour from one of those guys outside Builders. No post inspections were ever done and they were more concerned about receiving their payment, never to be seen again. Our driveway is full of oil marks from their bakkie and which they said they would clean, and we are still waiting. After numerous attempts to get them back to the house to fix their mess, they never arrived with a promise after promise that they will be here 'tomorrow'. So bottomline is that although there's a so called guarantee in place, it seems to me that they never have the funds to back up their guarantee, hence we always had to pay extra everytime. The roof has now already costed us a small fortune by using them. In my opinion, they are not experienced in their field and are just ripping people with very poor workmanship, never to be seen again. We now had to s**** this 'guarantee' due to them never arriving to fix it and had to restart the process over again with a highly recommended and more experienced and established bigger company. And yes, at great expense again. Don't use this one man business CJH DIETRICHSEN who claims that they specialize in roofs, waterproofing and painting. Owner: Cassie. He/ they don't care. I think they're located in the Roodepoort/Krugersdorp area.
