I encountered an engine fault with my Renault Triber, necessitating the towing of my vehicle to CMH Renault in Midrand. The engine fault is an issue I experience sporadically, rendering the car undriveable. Additionally, I suspect it may be a factory defect, as many Renault Triber owners have reported similar problems. This issue is widely discussed on YouTube and various customer review platforms. Therefore, I anticipated that it would likely be covered under warranty. To my astonishment, I was informed that the problem stemmed from the clutch transmission and that my battery was dead. What is particularly surprising is that I consistently monitor my battery's status using my Tracker App, which indicated a voltage of 12v. After purchasing a new battery, I was prepared to retrieve my vehicle. However, I later received a call informing me that the clutch would also require replacement at a cost of R18000. I was utterly shocked. During a phone conversation with Dion, I found him to be exceedingly rude and lacking in concern. I am perplexed as to how such an individual is employed there. I am firmly convinced that the exorbitant quotes provided to me were not the underlying cause of the engine fault.
