I would like to lodge a formal complaint and express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received after purchasing my Proton X50 Premium in May 2024. On the day of the purchase, the front sensor was faulty and I had reported this. This could have easily been picked up by the dealer prior to handing me the vehicle, as driving it for 10 minutes causes an error to appear. On top of this, the incorrect spare key was provided to me, which has yet to be replaced and is a major security concern. This was also brought to the dealers attention the day of the purchase.
I was informed today, after constantly asking for updates and more than a month after bringing this to the dealers attention that the wrong part has been delivered by Proton SA. This is unacceptable and this service is extremely unprofessional. My next step will be to escalate this to the consumer council if this is not resolved within the next 48 hours.
