Dear Hellopeter, I wish to share my experience with Compass Towing, a towing company in Retreat, Cape Town. Last weekend my car was in an accident, and Compass Towing towed my vehicle to their storage yard. Upon my request, Compass Towing then made me an offer for my vehicle, which I accepted. Administrator Bianca promised me twice - once on the phone when negotiating the sale and the other time in person yesterday (Thursday) morning when I went to sign the sale document - that I would receive immediate payment. Guess what? It's more than 24 hours later and I have still not been paid! I have done everything that was required of me by Compass Towing, but still no payment! I have been to the company's office twice and made several follow-up phone calls, but without success. Now, what I'd like to know is: How professional is this company really if this is the extremely unprofessional way in which they treat customers? From their business card, I see that they deal with leading insurers such as Santam, Mutual&Federal, Hollard and Outsurance. Do these insurance companies know how Compass Towing deals with its customers? Thanks for reading this post. Michael
