Disappointed with Complete Office Solutions in Somerset West

I have been a loyal client of this company the last 20 years but am extremely disappointed by the service of the owner, Charles Terhoeven lately. I wanted to upgrade my computer with a new battery but he convinced me to buy a new computer and assured me that the computer will be SO MUCH BETTER than my existing one. As I am an an engineer using CAD, the speed of the computer is very important for my production levels. In August 2020 - more than 6 months ago - I bought a new computer on his advice. After struggling with the processing speed and losing many man hours in my consulting business, I returned the new computer for testing and Charles acknowledged in the presence of 2 of his technicians that the new one is in fact SLOWER THAN MY OLD ONE. In correspondence with him, he tried to convince me to upgrade the RAM (with me picking up the bill) to put it on par with the speed of my old computer, which offer I turned down. He is currently in possession of the new computer and my money and refuse to answer my correspondence. Legally, Charles has misrepresented the new computer's abilities, which caused me to lose many billable hours. Apart of the price of the computer with the interest on it, my damages run into tens of thousands of rands for billable hours lost. Such indifference I have not come across before.
