Comrades Marathon makes me forfeit my 50% race payment and disqualifies me from running in the forthcoming race through a fault of their own. They registered me for some relief fund they are running, accepted my application to run, took my half payment. Upon challenging them that I never registered for a discount (relief Fund) they said ok I can pay the remainder but not on the race day. Suddenly, now I receive notice from them that I cannot run and I forfeit my initially paid money.

There has been a long standing tradition of Comrades to acknowledge loyalty and dedication to this amazing race.

In the past when an athlete reached the incredible milestone of going for their 20th Comrades you received a race number with white and yellow diagonal stripes to indicate your 19th run. Then if you had run 20 or more you were acknowledged with a green number with white stripes.

I have been inspired by these simple acts of recognition, and have dreamed of one day running in such a race number.

This year I noted that there was no such tradition and runners were denied this honour. I spoke to a few runners, who were either running their 20th or had 20 or more and they expressed there extreme disappointment in running in a solid yellow or green race number.

The race director responded \When Mr Price was the IT Sponsor/provider to Comrades they made those type race numbers. They did not renew their sponsorship 2 years ago

31 May 2015 I ran my 3rd Comrades Marathon and enjoy experience once again on the road, but I was very disappointed when I and my friends fellow runners when we arrived at the EXPO on Saturday around 11am for collection to be told that goodies bag were finished, caps were finished, t-shirt we could not get our sizes (it was big sizes left), I am wearing small and you give large, what am I suppose to do with oversize t-shirt, I mean I have registered last year, and indicated on the registration my t shirt size (SMALL), and how come to be told my size was finished. For an organization like Comrades Marathon, I did not see the value for my registration money, I and my fellow runners were robbed, they knew the figures, based on registration. When we asked, were taken from one person to another.

That was the least experience someone would have expected. Very bad, and disappointing, is just a very poor project management.
