HORRIBLE AND SCAMSTER

We placed an order for a metal screen (R5000 delivery included) with Wybrand Esterhuizen around 2 months ago for a project we are working on. We could ONLY place the order online on his website. I do not like to do this since I never know if I will receive the product. I almost ALWAYS prefer to pay a deposit and the balance once the delivery takes place.

Around 2 weeks after we placed the order did we attempt to contact him to enquire after the delivery date. We send him NUMEROUS sms messages on WA which he read however, did not reply. We then got my sister to contact him. He eventually replied to her and told her that he would contact us.

At this point am I starting to get worried. However did I give him the benefit of the doubt. About a month ago we reach out to him. He ignored all the voice or sms messages. Eventually we got hold of him. He told us that the screen was going to be delivered on Friday 3 weeks ago. Friday came and he was a no show. We text him and left voicemails and again …no response. Also NO PIC of the actual screen.

Eventually he appeared from the woodwork and had one excuse after the other. His truck was packed with equipment from the project he was currently busy with and he had no space for the screen. Once again we asked him for a photo of the screen with NO REPLY.

NOW he telling us that he is going in our direction the following week and will take the screen with him. This was last week Friday. Friday comes and he is a NO SHOW. Again no response from ANY messages we leave him. Tuesday he re-surfaced and once again had another excuse. I had friends over the weekend and did not go to the project site I’m working on. I will take it on Thursday (last week).

Ok at this point I had enough of the back and forth. I asked him to cancel the order and refund us. I send him my banking details and gave him till today to do the refund. NO RESPONSE. This guy is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUST WORTHY and does not know how to communicate with clients. He will take your money and WILL NOT DELIVER. HE IS A SCAM!!
