They do not even deserve one star! We have booked a Contiki trip with them via STA travel. The day we went for our Visas, STA requested on behalf of us for them to send our travel documents required for the Visa application. Now according to Contiki's policy- they only send out E-Docs when they have received full payment for a trip. Right, So we were supposed to travel on 28 May 2020, received all docs from Contiki on 3 March 2020 confirming everything!!!! When STA went under, Contiki quickly changed their story and said they did not receive the payment from STA! When I go on to Contiki's portal, it still shows that I have a travel credit- so how is that if no money has been received? Tried booking using my travel credit but they keep telling me about the sopppy STA travel story! I want my money back from Contiki or a travel Credit, because in my case Contiki is at fault and not STA as they have done their part before they went down! I have all the proof on email!!!!

I booked and paid for a Contiki only for them to tell me two weeks later that. My booking cannot be confirmed and must change everything because its fully booked. This is ridiculous even with the refund its utterly ridiculous. How can you ask me to pay and then cannot confirm my booking.

Apparently you can get cash back when booking Contiki with your Discovery card but at the time when the cash back is due there is just a lot of excuses!!

I emailed Contiki and called them several times to no avail from consultants about what will be happening with the tour that I booked for end Jan 2020 with regards to COVID-19, they said that they do not have any information at this point which was 2 months ago. I have been calling them everyday this week and remain on hold for 20min or more at a time. Is anyone able to reach them??? to clean the mess that STA Travel ha caused??!! I would appreciate it if someone could get back to me. A.S.A.P!!!!

I emailed Contiki consultant Yanda Mongo on 05 March 2020 about what will be happening with the tour that I booked for 26 June 2020 with regards to COVID-19, they said that they are looking at it on a month to month basis and will get back to me. Yesterday consultant Leeanne Naidu sent an email giving us two options. To either travel in 2020/2021 or to get travel credit until 30 December 2022. I responded by explaining that in the second week of March via telephone the consultant told me that I can cancel and get my money back, just losing my deposit. Please keep in mind that I am a third year student planning on doing honours, masters and my articles in the next five years and I was planning that the only dates I have available would be June 2020 for travel. Therefore the dates they had given to me does not fit my calendar. They responded by saying I have to choose one of the options they had given me yesterday. They have failed to understand that they gave me other options before their decision yesterday and completely disregard my rights and options as consumer. I expect of them to give me the option of cancelling my trip, because I was able to do so before the pandemic and see no reason why I may not and cannot do so now. I am also in contact with ASATA to take steps against them.

The people at contiki is super friendly and helpful. The hotel in Paris was awesome. I just wished we could have stayed longer. London's Jack the Ripper walk is very enlightening. Loved the West End show we all went to see nl. Kinky Boots Thanks a lot to our tour manager and driver #july2017londonparis

<p>Instead of giving my son a 21st party I rather decided to spend the money on a trip to Thailand for his 21st gift.</p> <p>I have never travelled abroad on my own let alone book a flight ticket anywhere which was a bit scary knowing all the fraudulant activity happening nowadays. Cheney Britz at Conticki Holidays did everything for me from booking the ticket to organising accomodation and much much more but the best part is with all my millions of questions I asked her , for over 2 months of arranging this trip , she answered promptlyand patiently everytime even if i asked the question twice. She answered every email with clarity and made sure I understood evrything in detail.Thank You Conticki Holidays , my son will have an amazing 21st gift everthanks to you and Cheney.</p>
