Well for a few reasons i thought that this was a good quality tyre and with the fact that they offer a mileage warranty i thought well this should be a safe purchase into a quality tyre. Well it didnt work out that way. I also had 1 other person warn me before hand that had dealings with the Cooper warranty system, My tyres are 14 months old, ive done less than 20000kms on the set. I noticed on 2 of the tyres that the rubber on the side wall had started peeling away from the casing from the edge of the logo's. So ive taken them to the dealer who had to do an inspection and file an online report with the distributer. the response was, they send me a letter with 5 possible reasons to the damage, stating its not a manufacturing defect. SO basically they just threw all the options at the problem and hoping some thing sticks. They followed that up with a letter stating that if i dont like there response i should take it to court. When i asked, from the info from the dealer how did they come by that conclusion that 1 of or all of the 5 reasons they gave is the actual cause. I got no reply. The reality is it looked like a mass produced standard letter they send to any issue. I have since spoken with Cooper USA who suggest the warranty and decision should be with the dealership, the dealer has agreed that none of these excuses warrant a rejection as there is no obvious reason or evidence that supports their claims. Anyway, the reality of this matter is i will never buy a Cooper tire again, whether that is a fault of Cooper USA and or the local distribution in how they handled this. Ive used loads of various locally produced tyres without a days trouble. lesson learnt, stick to local and or distributers that have better customer relations and technical skills.
