We bought 5x Discover STT -LT-275/65/18 MTS Tyre's from a Tyre Dealer in George. 20775 km Done on the Tyre's & its badly cracked on the side walls, Splits open! Tyre Dealer just say "We wait for the Cooper Rep to come back to us- We did not see him in Months" We try to get hold of the rep more than 7 Months! In the meantime we cant use the vehicle!! We were Told that they are 10 Years Old, We bought them in Jan 2019!

Used Cooper tyres at3 LT before and got Over 140000kms on them with no problems. Bought another set of 4 and after about 30000klms a year and 4 months after having them fitted one started a side wall crack just under the rim only on one side. Was told when fitting the new tyres that you get a 5 year warranty. Ya whatever! Cooper rejected my claim with such bs excuses. Such as under inflation or overloading or impact. The tyre is load rated for 1800kgs. And the most I loaded is about 7 to 800 kgs never had a flat nor went off road as it's a not a 4x4. Cracks are in a weird place and only on one side of the side wall just under the rim. Don't get ripped off with this product. I also got 4 more opinions from 4 other well known tyres fitment centre's and they all said its a manufacturer defect! It seems like Cooper tyres is not what it used to be!

3 years ago I fitted Cooper Discoverer AT3 I have done about 25000km on them. I accidentally curbed one of the rear tyres while inspecting the damage I noticed hairline cracks on the side wall checked the other 3 tyres and all have cracks. I have tried to contact them via email and on Facebook You don't expect this type of damage from top shelf tures I've googled this and it seems to be a bad batch of tyres

Cooper tyres AT3 is the worst tyres ever made, the sidewall looks like a white wall tyre after a few washes and its not made for SA roads if you drive on a gravelroad it will be a flat after a while bad Bad tyre i will rather prefer a low profile tyre than a cooper AT3 chances of get a flat on the low profile is less

Well for a few reasons i thought that this was a good quality tyre and with the fact that they offer a mileage warranty i thought well this should be a safe purchase into a quality tyre. Well it didnt work out that way. I also had 1 other person warn me before hand that had dealings with the Cooper warranty system, My tyres are 14 months old, ive done less than 20000kms on the set. I noticed on 2 of the tyres that the rubber on the side wall had started peeling away from the casing from the edge of the logo's. So ive taken them to the dealer who had to do an inspection and file an online report with the distributer. the response was, they send me a letter with 5 possible reasons to the damage, stating its not a manufacturing defect. SO basically they just threw all the options at the problem and hoping some thing sticks. They followed that up with a letter stating that if i dont like there response i should take it to court. When i asked, from the info from the dealer how did they come by that conclusion that 1 of or all of the 5 reasons they gave is the actual cause. I got no reply. The reality is it looked like a mass produced standard letter they send to any issue. I have since spoken with Cooper USA who suggest the warranty and decision should be with the dealership, the dealer has agreed that none of these excuses warrant a rejection as there is no obvious reason or evidence that supports their claims. Anyway, the reality of this matter is i will never buy a Cooper tire again, whether that is a fault of Cooper USA and or the local distribution in how they handled this. Ive used loads of various locally produced tyres without a days trouble. lesson learnt, stick to local and or distributers that have better customer relations and technical skills.

I had a bad experience with my Mickey Thompson Tyres. The CEO of Cooper SA Georg Schramm sorted out my issue. I am very happy with the service I received and I will recommend Cooper Tyres to all my friends and family. Thanks again Georg for your great feedback and communication through all of this. My family is safe again Kind regards the Kuyler family
