I am extremely unhappy with this company. Recommend by my body corporate probably because they cheap. They installed a double glazed front door which opens on the inside of the house. It constantly lets water into my house and keeps dropping down and damaging the frame. They have been back on multiple occasions to resolve the issues but seem unable to fix it. They promise to arrive at certain times and dont pitch, not even a message or to say say they not coming. They promised me a rubber seal, 3 months now and the repeated excuse is no stock available?? I deeply regret having to deal with CPT aluminium. I will be getting another company to replace the door who does a proper job.

After numerous attempts, I finally got CPT Aluminium to come to my house to provide a quote. I chose this company based on references from Facebook. On the 8th of October, PJ Willemse came to my house to take measurements. During our discussion, I explained that we wanted our current wooden door, which swings open to 180 degrees, replaced with an aluminum glass door. I made it very clear to him that the new door needs to open in the exact same manner (otherwise, we can't access the garage) and that it needs to hook to prevent slamming when the wind blows. PJ agreed and asked about the color. I took him to the kitchen door to show the standard aluminum color. He then asked if I wanted a pivot or hinge. I mentioned that I didn't know the difference but that it should be the same as my current door since it can't open any other way and needs to be waterproof as rain comes from the front. I asked about the timeline, as we have multiple contractors on site, and the tiles are waiting on the door installation before they can finish. PJ advised that it would take 8-10 days, possibly quicker. This was very good news to us. I received the quote and made immediate payment. On the 14th of October, Christina followed up with me regarding the color of the door. This should have been a red flag, as I had already discussed this with PJ and even showed him the kitchen door. Christina informed me that natural anodized had been discontinued and the new color was powder-coated matte new silver. I agreed, assuming it would match the rest of my frames. On the 15th of October, I followed up on the ETA for installation. I was then advised that the delivery date from their supplier would be the 15th of November 2024. Obviously, I was unhappy, as I was initially told 8-10 days, possibly sooner. We were now on day 5, and I was being asked about the color. I was then informed that powder coating has extra lead times. I was also told that I could have natural anodized, as it can be bought off the shelf, with a lead time of 10 working days. This was confusing, as the previous day I was told that natural anodized had been discontinued. We are now at 6 business working days. So clearly they have not started. On the 17th of October, I followed up again on the ETA for installation. I was then told it would be on the 25th or the 28th, which meant a wait of 14 to 15 days. On the 22nd, I followed up again to get a final date, as I had a tiler waiting. The team showed up on the 25th. When I showed them the front door that needed to be removed and replaced, they seemed very confused and thought they were supposed to install a gate. The door they brought did not open like my current wooden door. I was then informed that it was a hinged door, while my wooden door is a pivot door. The new door wouldn't work because it would block access to the garage and obstruct the entrance. This was not what we had discussed, and it was nothing like the wooden door. PJ came to the site again. I had my partner with me this time because I felt very disrespected and spoken down to by PJ. My partner explained the same scenario as during the first visit and what we wanted. PJ said he measured the door from the outside and didn't know there was a garage door. I told him, "PJ, you came into my house, looked at the door from the inside, and I explained what I wanted." He told me, "YOU NEVER SAID THAT." Now, I'm being accused of lying in my own home about what I wanted. PJ then said he understood what we wanted and that they could change it to a pivot door and have it installed early the following week. From this point, I asked my partner to deal with PJ, as he clearly had some issue dealing with women. On the 28th of October, I received an email from Christina, advising that they had changed the door and provided an updated quote. I was told installation would be on the 31st of October. On Thursday, the 31st of October, we were told installation would be on Friday, the 1st of November. On Friday, the 1st of November, we were told they were still waiting for parts and that the team would definitely be there on Monday, the 4th of November, at 9 AM. On Monday, the 4th of November, we were informed that they didn't have a full team and that the weather wasn't suitable for finishing, so they would come on Tuesday, the 5th of November. This was after I took leave on Monday and had to reschedule the tiler for 5 days! On Tuesday, the 5th of November (21 business days), they showed up, very unprofessionally, taking smoke breaks constantly in front of our house. The door was still wrong and not what we asked for. The door got damaged within minutes due to the brackets on the top, causing a dent. The finishing was beyond poor, with stickers still sticking out and the sealant not complete. PJ takes no responsibility for failing to provide what we requested on two occasions. Instead, he just responds with, "Wooden and aluminum doors are very different." We now have to hire someone else to fix this mess.
