NO AFTER SALES SERVICE
I bought a cricket kit set for my 8 year old in June 2024 from Cricketstuff.
Just more than a month later, I noticed a crack on the handle. I immediately took pictures and sent a query to them requesting advice regarding the problem.
I was informed that unfortunately it is seen as "ware and tare" and cannot be seen as a product fault.
The following was the advice was given:
1. Bat can not be replaced as it is part of a set; 2. The bat can be repaired at my cost of +/- R800; 3. Keep using the bat until it breaks and come buy a new bat at discounted price.
No after sales service at all.
Got a second opinion and minutes later was advised, on the same pictures, that "ware and tare" is not even to be considered.
The second opinion person, arranged for the their shop to exchange the bat for a new one. This is a shop from where the kit was not purchased and a bat was replaced out of a brand new kit.
Not recommended to do business with Cricketstuff at all.

We would like to differ with the customer review in this instance.
Our original response to customers in cases like these are standard pending a evaluation of the product.
The customer sent us photos on which we did a prelimanary finding pending response from our supplier. The customer has in less than twenty four hrs made a different plan and dit not provide us with the opportunity to do due diligence in providing a final response.
After investigation it was found that the other shop as mentioned has gone beyond protocol to replace the product for the customer. Hats off to the other shop for helping the customer at their own loss. It was later found by our supplier that the hairline crack in the entry level kashmir willow size 3 bat handle was not viable for replacement as it is still in good working condition and had no effect on the performance of the bat. We have also not tried to sell any other service or product to the customer, we merely sketched and outlined possible scenarios for possible different outcomes.
We wish this customer all the best, and as mentioned to you personally we still extend our offer to buy the product back from you so we can donate the set to a player in our underprivileged player program.
