If you have crisesoncall, cancell it immediately!! You are wasting your time and money. They do not give the brilliant service they advertise and pride them on. I got crisesoncall for my parents more than 10years ago and the one time they needed it, crisesoncall contributed to my mothers death. I am disgisted and furious with them that I trusted them in a critical emergency and they did little to help. My parents live on a farm and my mother got a heart attack on 25.08.24 afternoon, while my father rushed her off the farm to the main road I called crisesoncall for an ambulance to meet them somewhere on route to the hospital, the operator told me because they just have an hospital plan they must go to a goverment hospital he will dispatch an ambulance. I had to phone crisesoncall the whole time to ask where is the ambulance, the operator was slow with responce and no care attatude in this situation. Eventually we got an ambulance and the ambulance spoke to me the whole time for information regarding what they need to find my parents, the asked what the cars registration number is but how the hell should I know, that is not something you know off by heart and less in a critical situation, all this information is on the system. How I understand it in a crises crisesoncall takes over all the responsibilities to give information to the ambulance because everything is on the system. My father got my mother to goverment hospital even before an ambulance were dispatched. I phoned their medical aid to ask if they can go to a private hospital, they said yes. Crisesoncall also had this information, why didn't the operator said they can go to the private hospital. So because of that my mother lost crucial time to be attended to because the hospital were busy and waited for a Dr. I arranged myself for my mother to be moved to a private hospital but to was to late she passed away. If the crisesoncall operator did his job as advertised and gave the service your are paying for, he would have said go the a private hospital and and my mother would have got the help se needed to save her life. The operator phoned back about 40min later to ask if we got an ambulance, phathetic!!! I asked him can crisesoncall help us with anything ells regarding getting my mom addmitted, and he just said no. All that he do is phone the ambulance. This is nothing like they advertise, they definately don't got your back in a crises. I am cancelling all policies with them. I will never trust them to help the elderly, children or anybody ells in a crises.
