We wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding a concerning call my husband received.
The consultant introduced himself/herself and verified my husband’s identity using the first six digits of his ID number, then advised that he is overpaying on certain accounts. At no stage did my husband give consent for any further action.
We have since discovered that this call was treated as authorisation to access his credit bureau information, which is incorrect and unacceptable.
The number used to contact him cannot be called back, and we have no other way to reach the company.
We request urgent confirmation that no further access will be made to his credit profile without explicit consent, as well as details of the caller and a copy of the call recording.
