I trusted Curro in Burgundy Estate with my child’s safety, wellbeing, and development. That trust was broken.
My child has been left with permanent physical scars that the school could not properly account for. I personally viewed video footage of him being denied water and being physically pulled around by a teacher. There were also ongoing issues involving two teachers and repeated concerns around bullying by them from others.
Despite raising concerns multiple times, meaningful action only appeared to take place after I opened a police case when my child was physically assaulted. It was only then that the matter was taken seriously, and both teachers involved were no longer at the school.
Beyond the physical harm, the emotional impact on my child has been devastating. He has experienced fear, distress, and trauma that no child should ever associate with school. A place that is meant to nurture and protect instead became a source of anxiety and harm.
I have since withdrawn my child as things got worse and more serious.
I am sharing this so that other parents ask hard questions before enrolling. Ask about supervision. Ask about safeguarding policies. Ask how complaints are handled. Ask what accountability looks like when a child is harmed.
Children deserve safety without parents having to fight for it.
I do not recommend Curro in Burgundy Estate at all.
