Curro
Based on recent customer reviews, Curro receives overwhelmingly negative feedback across multiple campuses. Parents frequently cite poor financial administration, including billing errors, delayed refunds, and aggressive debt collection despite disputed charges. Academic quality is a major concern, with teachers described as unmotivated and education deprioritized in favor of profit. Serious allegations of bullying, child safety failures, and inadequate complaint handling recur across branches. Positive reviews highlight warm individual staff members and praise specific campuses like Curro Waterfall, Curro Clayville, and Curro Brackenfell for supportive environments and dedicated educators.

Subject advisors are not professional. I would like to raise a concern regarding the recent classroom observation conducted at the Curro school. The report written about the Mathematics teacher was extremely negative and, in my opinion, did not reflect the reality of the teacher’s work or commitment. This teacher works very hard to support the learners and consistently puts significant effort into preparing lessons and assisting the class. The available evidence of the teacher’s dedication and the learners’ progress does not align with the conclusions drawn in the report. Observing a teacher for a single lesson does not always provide a complete or fair picture of the daily work, preparation, and support that take place over time in a classroom. Professional feedback should aim to support and develop teachers, not discourage them. I believe that advisory visits should be constructive, balanced, and acknowledge both strengths and areas for improvement. Teachers should feel supported and respected in the process. I hope that future evaluations will consider a broader view of the teacher’s work and contributions to the learners and the school.

When I enrolled my child with Curro Rivonia, I requested for a full year invoice, which took more than two months to get to my invoice despite getting kind of automated statements on a monthly basis since then. When I paid for the whole year, come December 2025, I was hit with a statement saying I owe Curro Rivonia. What an embarrassment, but tried to address it the finance team, and got it partially resolved, but since December ti March 2026, I'm still battling with getting a reversal that we identified with Curro Rivonia. I called their Head Office, collections department, and all I get are promises to call back, which does not happen. I can't believe how Curro treats customers who pay in advance for 10 or so months, despite the sacrifice for the Time Value For Money to the advantage of the school

Title: Delayed Refund After Matric – Waiting Over 2 Months I attended this school from 2023 and matriculated in 2025. My school fees were paid through a trust fund during this time. After completing matric, I received a statement reflecting that I am owed a refund. I informed the school that the trust fund account had been closed and provided written confirmation of the closure. The school then requested my personal beneficiary banking details, which I submitted as instructed. I was told the details were sent to the Head of Finance and Head of Office and that I should wait 7 days for the refund to be processed. It has now been over two months, and I have still not received my refund or any proper explanation for the delay. All required documentation was submitted on time, and I have been patient throughout this process. However, the lack of communication and delay in payment is extremely disappointing. I am requesting urgent assistance in resolving this matter and receiving the refund owed to me.

I trusted Curro in Burgundy Estate with my child’s safety, wellbeing, and development. That trust was broken. My child has been left with permanent physical scars that the school could not properly account for. I personally viewed video footage of him being denied water and being physically pulled around by a teacher. There were also ongoing issues involving two teachers and repeated concerns around bullying by them from others. Despite raising concerns multiple times, meaningful action only appeared to take place after I opened a police case when my child was physically assaulted. It was only then that the matter was taken seriously, and both teachers involved were no longer at the school. Beyond the physical harm, the emotional impact on my child has been devastating. He has experienced fear, distress, and trauma that no child should ever associate with school. A place that is meant to nurture and protect instead became a source of anxiety and harm. I have since withdrawn my child as things got worse and more serious. I am sharing this so that other parents ask hard questions before enrolling. Ask about supervision. Ask about safeguarding policies. Ask how complaints are handled. Ask what accountability looks like when a child is harmed. Children deserve safety without parents having to fight for it. I do not recommend Curro in Burgundy Estate at all.

I attended a gala hosted by this school on the 11th February. This was a primary inter school gala hosted by Curro Creston. I have attended many galas before but have never seen anything this bad where primary school were deliberately cheated by a staff member Mandy Koegelenberg. She deliberately change the winner to second place due to the fact that the winner was not her swimmer. When the parents query why the response by Curro was that Mandy changed it even if the swimmers was faster on the stopwatch because she saw it. In my career as a coach I have never experienced a starter and judge override a stopwatch. She made sure her swimmer won the age group and Victor. Her swimmer even expressed that he should not be the overall winner. The medal and trophy was given to Mandy swimmer and later stripped and handed to the correct swimmer. Both boys ended in tears. We have noticed that Mandy did similar things to 4 other swimmers. My understanding was that all CURRO schools have the etos of being a fair school. I AM SORRY THE BEHAVIOR OF THIS STAFF MEMBER WAS NOT IN LINE WITH YOUR ETOS. Due to these actions I can inform you that not many of these kids will not choose Creston Curro as their High school.

This review is wrt Curro Hazeldean Primary School. This is not a school in the sense of educating learners. It is merely an institute for assessing learners. Work is handed out and only abstractly discussed in class with the onus passed onto the parent to educate the learner. There are more assessments and sport activities than learning days. Even kids not participating in sport are affected as their subject teachers often required to tend to sport related activities. Curro Holdings is a listed company, of which, the primary objective is to make profit. Having had learners at the school for 18 months, it became clearly evident that education is this school's lowest ranked priority and profit-making is the highest priority of this school. School fees are very high considering the poor level of education, many state schools will easily outperform this school at a fraction of the cost. Almost every act carried out by the school is ultimately done to make a profit. There is also a school levy which in my opinion is just profiteering, as almost every extramural activity or teachers birthday needs further donations which were meant to be sought from the levy. All students are even asked to bring canned food for the cleaning staff at year end which is absolutely ridiculous. An ample bonus from the exorbitant school fees should be allocated to the cleaning staff, if the school management care about their cleaning staff at all. Kids are even made to pity cleaning staff as my daughters were told. Teachers are really not driven to educate (except for a rare few), they tell learners more about their personal lives during lessons rather than teach actual lessons. Complaints to the Head Master and Head of Grade go acknowledged but unactioned and unresolved. One example is of a complaint about a Robotics teacher, it would seem he was employed as a Rugby coach and was forced into teaching Robotics as well, he has zero skill at academic teaching, zero connection with the learners, he shouts at the learners in class and is not at all approachable. The Head Master did nothing about these complaints....why?...because Sport is the heart of this group....why?....because sport drives investment and profit. While Sport is important, Academics should be the primary objective. If you want quality education for your child I suggest looking at schools outside Curro Holdings and non-profit education facilities.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.
