I went to the Da Vinci early December before my holiday and booked a five hour package as well as extras. (I frequent different spas on a regular basis) The massage was great, the rest not bad, but the very next day on my way to the airport I noticed that both chipped toenail and fingernail polish . I called and was told to come in to redo my nails when back which is exactly what I did. In the mean time a friend had gone and had the same issue but didnt say anything.
We both decided to book a few treatments and i had an eyebrow wax as well. I left with bleeding eyes and I still have a scar, months later on my left eye. The nail polish (new according to the manager and very few colours) had bubbles in it. Every friend I showed was horrified that a spa cannot offer you the products and service that you paid for!! Instead of gel I had regular polish with bubbles in it. My friend cut her treatments short (we booked a few hours each) because she noticed I was swollen and in pain. We spoke to the front desk lady who called the manager. She expressed her dismay and said that she will get the Manager above her to give us a call. We were never contacted even though we both left our email adresses, contact numbers etc and I called the Da Vinci spa at least four times. The receptionist at the spa told me that she gave the details and that Margarita promised to call me. I called again and again and never did this Margarita ever have contact with me not did the client liaison person who was at the spa at the same time as us even talk to us. Only later did we find out that she was the one that had pedicures at the same time as us. We discussed my trauma in front of her. We both felt that we paid good money for treatments that were not seen through (my friend) and not done correctly (my wax and pedicure/manicure) They simply didn't seem to be able to handle complaints and just didn't seem competent to do simple waxing. we have never gone to the Da Vinci Spa for just one or two treatments but hours of treatments weekly/monthly. The fact that they couldnt bother to call regular customers to get even just feedback is shocking and I'll never go back to the spa-neither will any of my friends who frequented the Da Vinci Spa before. Nor will we go to the restaurant either. Da Vinci is completely off the radar for us.
