Dassen Eiland Charters is a very bad company

The boat was too small to accommodate all of us. The fishfinder was faulty. He did not have live bait on board. He drunk during our charter. We were out for 12 hours and had rods in the water for less than 1 hour. It was a tour of the sea, not a fishing trip. Obviously we didn't have any bites, which would be fine if Vic allowed us to have rods in the water for a meaningful amount of time, tried bait changes and actually attempted to catch a fish. He was more interested in following Tankers, asking other boats how much they caught and telling tales of how much fish he caught on previous trips. It was an utter disaster and I ask you to find another charter company to take you fishing in the Langebaan/Cape Town area. His initial asking fee was R3500pp. We ended up paying him R18k. We went on a trip with "Dassen Eiland Charters" (http://dassencharters.co.za/) on 26 December 2020. We launched from Yzerfontein harbour.
