I’m writing to express my disappointment with the experience we had at De Jagers Hartenbos while on vacation..
We initially purchased two shirts and a pair of shorts. When we got home, we realized the shorts were too small. We returned to the store, bought two more shirts, and exchanged the shorts for a larger size.
However, even the new pair of shorts turned out to be too small, so my husband decided to exchange the shorts for another shirt instead. When we went to the till, the staff member told us that the shorts were not on the slip and claimed to have checked the CCTV footage, stating that the shorts couldn’t be traced.
In doing so, she essentially accused us of dishonesty, implying that we were trying to exchange an item we didn’t buy — which was both embarrassing and insulting. We are honest customers and have no reason to ***** or be dishonest about a simple exchange.
I am requesting that the management of this store properly investigate the situation and the accusation made by their staff member. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and it’s important that customers are treated with respect and dignity.
We hope to receive a proper explanation and an apology for the way this was handled
