I’m writing to express my disappointment with the experience we had at De Jagers Hartenbos while on vacation.. We initially purchased two shirts and a pair of shorts. When we got home, we realized the shorts were too small. We returned to the store, bought two more shirts, and exchanged the shorts for a larger size. However, even the new pair of shorts turned out to be too small, so my husband decided to exchange the shorts for another shirt instead. When we went to the till, the staff member told us that the shorts were not on the slip and claimed to have checked the CCTV footage, stating that the shorts couldn’t be traced. In doing so, she essentially accused us of dishonesty, implying that we were trying to exchange an item we didn’t buy — which was both embarrassing and insulting. We are honest customers and have no reason to ***** or be dishonest about a simple exchange. I am requesting that the management of this store properly investigate the situation and the accusation made by their staff member. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and it’s important that customers are treated with respect and dignity. We hope to receive a proper explanation and an apology for the way this was handled

I found a jacket that i really liked.I took the time to phone a few branches and found 1 in my size in George at the branch in Hibernia street.I asked the lady to keep it out for me she really went the extra mile and told me she can move it to the branch of my choice.In this case being De jagers Hartenbos.After a few days I phoned Hartenbos branch and they said it was not marked they sold it .I think this is a very bad experience ,as a regular client I will not shop their anymore as this type of client service is poor.

De Jagers clothing is brilliant. I have been to two branches (Willowbridge and Sandbaai) and the staff at both branches are friendly, very helpful and well trained. They actually know the products they are selling and can give advice! Unlike any other clothing retailer out there. Very well worth the effort to find a branch.

De Jagers clothing is brilliant. I have been to two branches (Willowbridge and Sandbaai) and the staff at both branches are friendly, very helpful and well trained. They actually know the products they are selling and can give advice! Unlike any other clothing retailer out there. Very well worth the effort to find a branch.

******** Institution!!! My husband paid R500 for 5 Medium Jockeys (he Always wears a Medium) and after seeing it was too small, we went back 12 hours later for a large packet. They refuse us to exchange it (he wore his own underwear while trying the new ones obviously just to check the size) and they also refuse a refund. Telling us our only option forward is paying a discounted price for the large. That is *****ING. We will make sure you pay a lot with legal expenses including ours.

On Thursday morning I went to De Jagers Willow Bridge to exchange a shorts I bought at Vredenburg mall. When I purchased the short the lady at the mall told me that because I don't live in Vredenburg I am more than welcome to exchange it at any store, because I bought the shorts for my husband and was not sure if he would like the fit. I was in the area of Willow bridge and decided that I would exchange it there for a Jacobs pants because my husband always wears those shorts as he didn't like the fit I bought him. Was I in for a suprise when I entered the store. I approached the till area and a young man short man assisted me I explained I don't have a slip to exchange and he said he can't help us. So I told him I have it on my banking app of he could call Vredenburg store. He told me with a really bad attitude that they he can phone them but it could take long before they send the slip. I told him if he could call I will wait. The he told me the shorts has a fade in front and back and their shorts don't look like that as if I kept it in the sun to fade. I was already irritated with this guy because If you don't want to help us call your manager but he went on and on why he can't exchange it and it will be written off at their stores lost as if this is my problem. I bought it like that and just needed the slip because I want to exchange it. Bearing in mind I am a loyal customer of DeJagers for years and are in their stores every month to buy something and haven't exchange anything yet if I could recall. He got so furious with as and said ok I'll go to the manager and I show you that she will say the same thing. I was schocked because there was 2 other staff members also at the till area none of them told him to calm down and call the manager. He the went to the manager showed her the pants and she then told us that the shorts was sold by them like that and will be reduced and we were fine by that. She then called Vredenburg and they send her the slip in minutes and the exchange was done. I paid in because the shorts I wanted was more. The store manager didn't even apologized to me after I told her I was unhappy about his attitude. Just because we are the same race doesn't mean you don't have to give me the service you give to all the other customers. The other customer in the store was treated much better than us. The guy that helped us didn't stopped bickering with us he went on and on. I was disgusted in the way I was treated just because I am a women doesn't mean I have to be talked down to because that is how I felt. I will never go to that store again.
