Absolute disaster. Riaan is a smooth talker, but when it comes to quality of service the results are poor. A prject that should have taken just over a week took over a month to finish. Towards the end he was never available and did not do a site inspection. The first time the bath and shower was ised the bath did not drain. The shower which is on the second floor leaks into the tiles/floor and causes damage to the room below. A lot of money spent and down the drain.

We contracted Riaan, to renovate our en-suite bathroom after he gave a great sales pitch, coming across as very professional and knowledgeable. Riaan was eager to help source materials but once the actual project commenced (the first installment paid), he began to show his true colours. Throughout the project Riaan’s management was minimal and very often non-existent. Over the course of the project (25/11 - 04/11) the only times he came to site where, when he dropped the guys off on the first day and one other occasion for about 10 minutes. He also failed to brief his team regarding numerous aspects of the bathroom, including the type of toilet being installed and the tiling design. If we were not home for the duration of the renovation, I am not sure how anything would have been completed. Riaan did not ensure that his team had the equipment necessary to complete the project and we were left running around buying stuff on a daily basis and lending the team our own equipment (We had to make at least 14 visits to the hardware store during the project). With the amount of work we had to do during the project we would have been better off sourcing our own contractors instead of paying the premium we paid to have Riaan manage our project as we were basically left to manage it on our own. Riaan’s primary concern was to get the project completed as quickly as possible in order to get paid. At one point Riaan even asked us to pay him early in order to assist him with cash flow. While we declined this request, we did pay him the final installment on the day of completion which was a mistake... after using the shower for the first time we discovered a major leak and drainage issues as well as the basin leaking into the vanity and damaging the wood. When we contacted Riaan to inform him of the issues we were ghosted by him. Our messages were read and not replied to and our calls were never answered. The 12 month workmanship guarantee that is agreed upon and signed for in the contract is clearly a falsehood. Please if you are considering using de Witt bathrooms to renovate your bathroom we urge you to reconsider. We would also just like to mention that he also ghosted some of his sub-contractors and is yet to pay them for their work on our project and others in surrounding areas. Riaan, this truly speaks volumes to the type of person you are.

What should have been an 8 week project turned into week 13, yet the project is still not completed. One nightmare after another. They're very unprofessional and unorganized. Never the same employees, always someone new. The business logo itself is very misleading. They are unable to rectify any problems. The quality of the materials is extremely weak, bend, damaged and or scratched ect. There work is amateurish. Throughout the first 6 weeks of construction, a former employee informed us that the funding to complete the project is finished, after we already +-R 178k. The roof as well as the trusses is beyond skew. The newly built ceiling and roof is cracked and burst and the water is pouring through the ceiling. There is no sign of our cupboards nor our floor.

Hi, Hennie van Loggerenberg here. My wife and I needed to renovate 2 bathrooms in our house. All being outdated by a couple of decades. Based on various internet searches, sifting through multiple reviews, we ended up requesting a quote from De Witt Bathroom Renovations and Remodeling. From the get go, we've received professional service from Riaan. Once the quote was accepted, we purchased the material and the team was booked to start with the job. We had a VERY tight deadline to say the least. The entire team, from the buildes, tilers and painters, each and everyone contributed in their own way to make the process as easy as possible. The team was professional, they respected our privacy and only focused on getting the job done, after hours as well. They pay attention to detail and if we changed our minds or were not happy with something, it was addressed immediately. The best of all, not upfront deposits. This is one true show of how confident they are in their service. I would recommend them anytime!
